How to say thank you?
MoonMama wrote: Hey everybody!
Sorry I have been so MIA things have been crazy but I hope to be back full time very soon. I miss you mommies and daddies like crazy!
Question how can I say thank you to a someone who has really done a lot for me and Braed? I of course sent out thank you's & birth announcements and all that good stuff to everyone. But my neighbor has gone way out of her way for us and I really want to thank her. She came over and helped with Braed when I was so sick the one day. She surprised me by going to the store for me and everything and wouldn't let me pay her back for the stuff she bought. She has brought Braed all kinds of neat things and she made me up a whole pampering basket, and watched Braed so I could soak in a nice bath and use the sutff.
I did a set of foot pirnts of Braed for her and I got a necklace with a pendent of an angel holding a baby w/ Braed's brithstone, and on the back of the pendent I had it engraved with "I'm bless with my very own angel" ~ xo Braedin. I was thinking of maybe also, making her Monica's (luvmykids) yummy pumpkin cake, a thank you card, & some pictures of Braed?
What do you all think?
mom2my2cuties replied: I think you have some great ideas. Glad to hear you are getting lots of help with the little guy!
cameragirl21 replied: i was just thinking about you today, Ally, and wondering where and how you've been! How about getting a friend who takes really good pics to take a pic of the neighbor holding Braedin and then getting it enlarged and framed for her? you know i'm just a bit partial to pictures....
MoonMama replied: Oh that is a great idea! Infact I have a really sweet picture of them together. Maybe an 8 x 10 framed?
mom2my2cuties replied: Oh that would be great too Ally!!
holley79 replied: All really wonderful ideas. Maybe you can get her a gift certificate or maybe take her to a nice dinner or make her a really nice dinner. (If your up for it.)
I think the engraved 8*10 frame of a picture of her and B are a wonderful idea.
mckayleesmom replied: Does she have children? Maybe you can return the favor and watch the kids to give her a break once you get mommyhood down pat....Maybe a coupon for the kids to watch a movie with you while she catches up on some quality alone time.
MoonMama replied: She only has one child and he's 18 go figure. So I know she is really enjoying spending the time with Braed.
Thanks for the ideas girls.
luvmykids replied: All great ideas, especially the pumpkin cake But seriously, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these ideas
CantWait replied: What you've done, and got planned is more then enough. I'm sure she had all the pleasure watching that sweet little guy and knowing that you were getting a much deserved break.
gr33n3y3z replied: I like all those ideas Ally
cameragirl21 replied: that is a great idea...go to Michael's or Target and buy a nice frame and maybe a mat and put it in a nice gift bag...i think it will make a great gift!
