How old were your kids

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I had Logan's first prof pics done when he was 8 weeks old. He was starting to hold his head up and was smiling big. They are adorable. But I can't wait to see anything you come up with.

Calimama replied: 6 weeks. She has them done every month now. It varies between Walmart and JCPenney's.

My3LilMonkeys replied: When Brooke was born SIL took her to get her pics done w/her kids at about 4 days old. We had a few done at picture people when she was a week old.

MoonMama replied: Okay so I am not some slacking mama who hasn't had them done yet. A friend of mine told me I was crazy and she had her daughters done the day she left the hospital. Thanks I'll be sure to post what we get.

Simplebeliever replied: I guess this makes me a slacker, but I've yet to take Abby to get professional pictures. She's almost a year and a half.

I usually have my camera in hand and I'm always taking pictures of her. I can just imagine that when / if she does go to a professional that I'll most likely be taking pictures of the whole experience.

mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee was 2 months and Russell was 6...besides the hospital ones. Mckaylee Like 2 or 3 done before 1 year and Russell has only had 6 months done besides his hospital one......The 6 month one was a disaster...So I haven't had the nerve to go back yet....The kids were horrible.

Anthony was 2 months.

You can get some real original pictures done at 2-6 months besides the usual headshots etc.... (wings, in your hands, etc...)

I say go for it.

I think the really tiny baby pictures are PERFECT! My favorite ones are the ones with the naked babies with the pink or blue bow tied around thier body

luvbug00 replied: Mya was almost a year at the picture people . ( I had to have a pic of her in a flower in a diper) they don't do diper pics after the age of one.

Boo&BugsMom replied: 1 year old. We don't get them all the time like some people do. I guess if you have the money to blow, but we don't. We get them taken about every year. This year we are doing ones with our digital camera though to save some cash.

MoonMama replied: Thanks glad to know I am not the slacker I thought I was. We didn't get to take pics yesterday he was being super grumpy. Tuesday will have to work I think.

mom21kid2dogs replied: We've only had one "professional" sitting~Olivia was 2. The rest have been either us or WalMart.

hawkshoe replied: I did my youngest when he was 1 month old. A word of advice though, bring your own blankets. Not only is it more personal, it is much more sanitary than putting them on the studio ones (believe me, I worked at one and they are not cleaned nearly as regularly as they should be).

Kirstenmumof3 replied: I think I had there portraits done at 3mths, 6mths, 9mths and then every year on there Birthdays.

Our Lil' Family replied:
3 months was the first time, then 6, 9 and 1 year. I haven't done it since then but we're about to take family pics for Christmas cards later this week.

And your friend is crazy taking her baby the day she left the hospital! That baby should have been at home only!!

holley79 replied: We had professional pictures done when Annika was 3 days old the first time. They weren't the greatest though. We had the second set of professional done when she was 6 weeks old. They turned out wonderfully.
