How often do you give your toddler a bath?

I give Emily a bath every day, theres no way I couldn't. She always seems to get dirty during the day. Either she goes outside and gets dirt on her, or food. We usually paint during the day and she somehow manages to get paint on her legs, arms, and even stomach
Plus, it's part of the routine like nap time. If she doesn't have her bath at the same time everyday, she goes a bit loopy and doesn't know what's going on

1lilpeanut2love replied: We give Kaylee one everynight. WE always give her a bath at night-- it helps her sleep better. We sometimes skip a bath if she is tired or if it is too late!!!!

PrairieMom replied: we usually do every other day. The Boy's skin gets so dry if we over do it. Its winter so we aren't playing out side and getting to dirty or anything, we will go to everynight again when the weather is nicer and we play out side.

MamaJAM replied: As a general 'rule' we give both boys baths every-other-day. But - DS#2 likes using his hair as a napkin.. ...so lately he's been getting 2 (even 3) per day.

C&K*s Mommie replied: every day, but Christian is getting back into taking showers by herself. So Kellie who used to be her bathtime buddy, is left alone taking baths by herself. I think I will start to give her (Kellie) showers from now on. But unlike with C who we can leave alone in the shower, I am not trusting of K being alone & still having dry floors and walls. I will have to take them with her, or stay in the bathroom to watch her.

Brias3 replied: I'll usually give Mason a bath every other day, unless he's particularly dirty from an activity that day. We do however, "wash up" (face, under arms, private areas) each night before getting in pj's on nights there is no bath. In the summers, all the kids will usually get a bath every night what with the extra warm weather and swimming in chlorine, etc. Sometimes though, I just don't have the energy when I'm here by myself if Bruce is traveling, so each night doesn't always happen.

Sounds just like us! All 3 have super sensitive skin so we do baths as little as possible but do "spot bathing" every night. And when DH is gone sometimes it's all I can do to get us through dinner and jammies and just can't drag it out through a bath!

my2monkeyboys replied: in winter it's usually every other night, maybe every 2nd night, unless he's gotten dirty outside. He has very dry skin so we hit the high spots at night with a warm cloth. In summer it's every night, but not always with much soap.
