How much would you pay???

luvbug00 wrote: For mya's party we are having a high school kid who plays gitar really well come and sing with the kids for like a 1/2 hour. I have NO idea how much to pay him and Pam ( mya's aunt who is getting him for us because he's her friend) said he may not accept money at all. ( do it for experience) I'd feel bad for not giving him somthing... huh.gif

moped replied: ummmmm, not sure, but if it is a high school kid maybe $20-$25

KingMom replied: I'd say $20-25.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I'd say no more than $30. $25 probably I'd agree with.

gr33n3y3z replied: 25.00 for a half hour

His time plus gas

C&K*s Mommie replied: same as above.. $25-$30

AlexsPajamaMama replied: $30 sounds good for a half hour

lisar replied: I say pay him like $30.00 if he wont take it try again and then if not dont pay him

luvbug00 replied: Good thing I asked emlaugh.gif i was thinking more like 60-100. blush.gif

TheOaf66 replied: yeah, i would say 20 bucks would be good for a half hour that is a good deal

Kaitlin'smom replied: Guess it depends on how good he was. At least 20 but if he was really good and everyone enjoyed it more.

mckayleesmom replied:
Um...that is what I was thinking....A teenager can't get far on 20 bucks....If he refuses to accept it....I would just put the money on a gift card to his favorite store or something.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yeah, I was going to suggest just giving him a $25-$30 gift card to a popular restaurant. Or about that much cash.

My3LilMonkeys replied:
You're near the DC are though aren't you? Everything seems to be more expensive around there. I would probably say $50.

luvmykids replied:
rolling_smile.gif Me too! blush.gif I think if he's great definitely in the higher end of the range. If he won't take it, stick in his case or something.

Brias3 replied: I was going to agree with the 50-100 range. If you're worried he won't take it and really want him to have the money, then I might put $50 or $75 in a thank you card and hand it to him on his way out.

Nina J replied: I would pay him $50.

b&bsmom replied: Maybe a gift certificate to a music store or something???

luvbug00 replied: Thanks for the ideas!! I think we may pop a $50 into a thank you card.Pam said this kid is ULTRA modest and VERY good. thumb.gif thanks !!!
