How much do you spend on stocking stuffers?

luvmykids wrote: I justify something as a stocking stuffer if it's cheap....even if it fits in a stocking, if it's more than a few bucks it counts as a gift rolling_smile.gif I bought something for my stepdaughter that really should be a stocking stuffer but it was $15 so I'm putting it under the tree blush.gif

CantWait replied: I think I spent around $50. A lot of dollar store items and bigger things like body washes, and things that fit in a stocking that are needed.

sparkys2boys replied: I would say around $50 too. I also went to the dollar store for things, but then they always get a fun bubble bath set( this years it's a CARS bubble bath but it looks like an oil can and comes with a spout to pout in into)!!! And then other more costly things.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wacko.gif I don't know, but I think I've gone overboard! wacko.gif

coasterqueen replied: Maybe $20 on each one.?. I got a lot of cheap stuff and their stockings aren't that big to fit too much stuff in them anyways.

Cece00 replied: Probably like 25-40 per stocking for the kids. Of course DH's always costs a lot more tongue.gif

I get things like candy, coloring books, crayons, hot wheels cars, board books, dolls (for my daughter, of course!), toothbrushes, other small toys, bath items (fun soaps, bath crayons) etc.

moped replied: I don't know - because I only have one child I don't really keep track - I am thinking maybe $50 or more - easy to get things for a 2 year old

I think I spent about $100 in total but over the years I am thinking that will goway up

MommyToAshley replied: This year it will be more than most years because we're sticking in the Cars racing game for the Xbox 360. Ashley saw it a few months ago and really wanted it. (She loves that movie). It looks like a game she'd like so we bought it for her stocking.

Other than that, I bought candy, an electric strawberry shortcake tookbrush and holder, some kid's nail polish and lip gloss... hmmm, I think that's it for the stocking.

ZandersMama replied: About 25$ combined, I LOVE the dollar store tongue.gif

Nina J replied:
Emily loves Cars too.

I spent way to much, 100 +. Oh well rolleyes.gif

Brias3 replied: We don't really make too big a deal out of the stocking gifts. Usually, its just a "treat" of some kind (this year is a cute decorated cookie lollipop from this place nearby called Cookies by Design) and a small present. This year, the stocking presents are a PSP game for Ryan, an American Girl doll pajama set for Aliyah (to go with the doll she's getting), and the Cars movie DVD for Mason.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: DH nixed the stockings this year! mad.gif I know, I know....lame. But he didn't do stockings in his family, so he doesn't see the point. I told him that once the kids are old enough to understand Santa, then we're doing them! I did one for Wil last year and went way over-board. I just remember stockings being so exciting as a child!

I go cheap though too....my parents always put things like toothbrushes and hairclips in our stockings. Stuff you can buy at the drugstore. wink.gif More than $5 to me is a gift under the tree. Unless so small that it gets lost.

3_call_me_mama replied: TOO MUCH!
Stocking here are a big deal this year as they are only each getin g3 gifts.. so all teh other stuff i wanted to get got put in teh stocking! LOL
They got a leapster game, and soem other stuff but easily it was $50 for the older 2 and abotu $25 for graham/

lisar replied: I spent about 20 dollars on Raygen and DH bought Lexi's stocking stuffers and he went way over the limit. I was mad when I found out he spent like sixty dollars.
