How long do you have off from work? - for Christmas

PrairieMom replied: I have to work nights Friday Saturday and sunday. No christmas for me until next week!

We get tomorrow (Friday) and Monday off for Christmas. We get the Monday after New Years off for sure and maybe the Friday before...that one is always a last minute "gift" from my boss as to whether we get it. All our holidays are paid.

holley79 replied: If I were still working and not on leave I would be off Friday, Sat and Sun which are normally scheduled days off. Because I'm "essential personnel". (Don't even make me go there right now.)

DH has half day today, Sat, Sun and Monday off. Same goes for New Years.

My mom who also works for the Sheriff's Office but in a different department then me is Off Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon. I'm in the wrong part of the SO.

booey2 replied: Our office is closed this year for 26th & 27th but I took off the rest of the week for holidays. So I go back on Jan 3rd woo hoo.

Edited to add: I am here today but not sure for how long, all depends on the new owner.

jcc64 replied: We don't get Christmas bonuses at my job- instead we always get the week between Christmas and New year's off.

redchief replied: Normally I would be scheduled to work nights all this weekend. I work tonight (Friday), but took off Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I have to cook the ham!

CantWait replied: I have 5 days off. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Then I only work short hours the 28, 29, and 30, but get paid for a full day, then have the 31 off.
