How long do they take to fall asleep

Do yours fall right to sleep?
MommyToAshley replied: It depends how tired Ashley is. Most of the time, she is asleep within a few minutes. But, sometimes, I will hear her in her bed talking for quite a while. Most of the time she falls asleep reading a book.
mummy2girls replied: well lately jenna will sit in her room for up to 2 hours until she falls asleep. but with her she wont leave her bed which is a good thing.
Brias3 replied: Mason usually takes around a half hour to fall asleep. We usually all read books together in one of the kid's rooms then he goes to his own bed (often times, Aliyah and Ryan will sleep together in one of their beds) and I will sit with him for awhile but am trying to phase out of that now and let him fall asleep on his own. Some nights, he's a stink and will be rolling around bed and talking for over an hour.
luvmykids replied: It depends ... honestly, they all fall asleep a lot faster if I take time in each room to read a book, snuggle and chat. If we do it as a group they don't seem to unwind as well and will talk to themselves or try to sneak out into the hall to see what I'm watching on TV.
As infants they were all always put in their cribs awake and fell asleep on their own, I think it's just their age where they're discovering ways to stall it a little.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: At bed time we read two books and then he is on his own. Most nights Alex is awake for a while reading or playing with his "buddies" he has in bed with him.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Madison is a right to sleep kind of gal. She's the same way about waking up - one second she's fast asleep, and BAM! wide awake and ready to go.
Brooke is slower to fall asleep - usually 1/2 hour or so unless she's really tired. She's more of a slow waker too - wants to lay around for a while before she does anything.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It takes Ethan about 2 mins to go to sleep once he's in his bed. It takes Maddie a little longer (depending on the time and what kind of day she had), but normally she likes to stay awake and read. She's not difficult to wake in the mornings so I let her stay up as long as she's in her room.
MyLuvBugs replied: We have a little bedtime routine....jammies on, brush teeth, tucked into bed with kisses, read a book, and then night-night time and we lay there in her big girl bed until she falls asleep. For me at nap time...it only takes 10-15 minutes to get her to sleep. When DH puts her down at night, he falls asleep before she does. But it takes almost 30 minutes usually....depends on how active she's been during the day. KWIM?
Momof3inMe replied: The boys I put them to bed and some nights they will talk for a while but don't leave the room. Em she goes right to sleep most nights. Leah we put her to bed when she starts to fuss and she will also go right to sleep.
blue72 replied: Kyle usually falls asleep within 10 minutes. Jake (the baby) likes to jump in his crib and babble at his brother Luke. It takes Luke and Jake longer to fall asleep. I'd say it usually takes about 1/2 hr and a couple of yells from mom and dad to get those 2 to settle down.
ediep replied: Jason takes a few minutes to fall asleep, depending on what kind of day we've had, it could take as much as 20-30 minutes
