How does it work at your house? - Easter Bunny

Does he bring the candy and little presents that are in their baskets? I cannot for the life of me remember what I was told as a child
msoulz replied: We dye the eggs and the bunny hides them while the kids sleep, and also leaves a basket of goodies. The basket is emptied and used as a collection basket for the eggs when found!
Kaitlin'smom replied: We set out her basket for the bunny to fill and the bunny hides plastic eggs, that are normally filled with change or $1's
ediep replied: wejust sort of treat it like santa. Leave a carrot and the eater buuny leaves you a basket of goodies
My3LilMonkeys replied: same here. The girls generally get an easter egg hunt at my mom's, but they know that grandma hides the eggs, not the bunny.
amymom replied: Never thought about it, it just happens.
We usually leave out empty baskets, with grass in it, after MB was born I got them matching baskets a blue and a pink. This way I do not need to buy new baskets each year. Then we go to bed. The Easter Bunny comes and puts something in the basket, never anything big. I usually only spend about $15 on each of them. The Bunny hides plastic eggs with candy inside. I have a supply of eggs, equal amounts in different colors. In these plastic eggs (Usually about 12-18 per kid) There is either a quarter, 50cent piece or a dollar coin, for their coin collections. A few have some jelly beans. The bunny leaves a note in each basket what color eggs that kid has to find. (That way they find equal amounts.)
The baskets this year will contain: For Billy 4 pens, a pkg of mechanical pencils, a mouse pad, a small choc. bunny ($1), and CD player ear phones. A few pieces of miniature twix bars. For Mary Beth, 4 pens, a package of pencils, a few notepads, and a pocket watch ($8.97) & a few jelly beans, a choc bunny that Dad will eat. The eggs will have some jelly beans and 5 for each will have the new $1 coins that they will put in their coin collections.
I have never done anything with the easter bunny and the eggs we dye. I do know families that hide the dyed hard boiled eggs and are sorry in a few weeks when they didn't find them on Easter Morning.
Also, since we moved in with Grandma, we take her to her churches Easter sunrise service so, they are allowed to peek at their baskets before we go, but no egg search is done until after we get home from breakfast or even soem times has waited until after our Church's Mass which is at 10:30.
I want to add, that this will be our first year that MB doesn't believe in the EB. As sad as that milestone is, it makes things easier. But I will still hide those eggs. Boy this got long.
CantWait replied: The Easter Bunny hides small chocolate eggs, and leaves a basket of goodies.
mom21kid2dogs replied: We only hide plastic eggs at our house but the adults do thaty. Easter Bunny brings all the basket items. Easter Beagle brings the doggie Easter Baskets. They are waiting on the table on Easter morning.
luvmykids replied: The EB brings the baskets with small things like sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a little candy.
We color eggs but don't hide them, I use the plastic ones and put candy or coins in them, I usually hide them the night before but we don't do the egg hunt until after church and a big family potluck.
sparkys2boys replied: OK.. that does it.. we spoil the kids way to much for easter I think after reading the other posts. Here we leave an empty basket out in the livingroom and then a small one (very small) on the end of there beds. This one the easter bunny drops a couple of eggs in and is used for our egg hunt in the house as sson as they wake up. Esater bunny usually has a hay day hiding eggs..lol. I hide a few upstairs in there bedroom and on the way down stairs, then once they hit downstairs they stop looking because they see there gifts. We prolly go a lil overboard (okok.. we do go over board..lol) then they will look for remander of eggs. I dont put any egss in basket though, so they dont have that many. If the weather is good the EB may have also left a few eggs hid outside for them. But the weather usually does not cooperate for that. We buy cloths, rubber boots, new toys and stuff for them.
Nina J replied: The easter bunny leaves chocolate and other goodies for them. We do an easter egg hunt, but Emily knows it's DH and I who hide the eggs (Odessa is to young).
It's Odessa's first Easter
coasterqueen replied: We leave out the baskets for the EB to fill (we even put the grass in there so he doesn't have to supply that ). EB usually puts small toys, etc in the basket and one chocolate EB.
The girls die eggs just for fun. The EB leaves one dyed egg in everyone's basket. EB then hides about a dozen eggs (between the 2 of the girls) filled with candy and quarters.
We leave the EB carrots and lettuce.
3xsthefun replied: The easter bunny usually leaves them a basket filled with goodies & treats for them.
We will also hunt for easter eggs, but they know mommy or daddy hide them.
MommyToAshley replied: We usually dye eggs just for fun as well. The EB brings a basket filled with goodies (not too much candy) and he hides plastic eggs filled with little toys and candy.
A&A'smommy replied: the ones you died aren't from the easter bunny but I always got plastic eggs filled with stuff from the easter bunny in my basket
Boo&BugsMom replied: We just dyed eggs today. Tanner is going to leave them out for the EB to hide overnight along with his basket then in the morning he will have to find the eggs and his basket which will be filled with goodies and small presents. I thought about making a scavenger hunt out of it, leaving eggs for clues and the basket at the end, but I'm not sure how to pull it off yet.
