How do you *play* Santa?

The first year Kylie was only a few months old so it wasn't a big deal. Last year all presents from Santa were left unwrapped so when she came into the livingroom she was like WOW when she saw the presents. Then she had fun unwrapping ours.
This year I was going to do the same but DH thinks maybe we should wrap them from Santa. 
kit_kats_mom replied: Santa's presents are all wrapped in BRIGHT red paper this year. My mom always used brown paper bags though. I just made sure that they stand out...and they do!
Boys r us replied: We leave one big present under the tree from santa unwrapped for each of the boys. htis year it will be Braedon's John deer battery operated ride on tractor and Tanner's battery operated razor rocket mini bike.
Josie83 replied: Jason and I will have all of Cassie's presents from us (Santa) wraped and waiting for her when we go downstairs . . . they'll be separate from the other presents. That's what Jason's mum always did so that's what we're going to do! Al of the other presents are under the tree xx
FroggyJK replied: We are wrapping the gifts from Santa in special "Santa" wrapping paper and they go under the tree Christmas Eve after the kiddos are down for the night. That's also when the stockings go up. The other gifts are already under the tree.
MommyToAshley replied: Santa's presents are wrapped. This year we most likely won't wrap the train set and table (just put a big bow on it) but all of the other Santa presents will be wrapped in special Santa paper. I loved watching Ashley unwrap presents last year, but I bet it will be even more fun this year! 
I am sure Kylie will love the presents either way!
booey2 replied: Well we wrap all of our gifts and this year Matthew helped me with wrapping everything so I had to go out and buy different paper to do Santa's presents then they go under the tree on Christmas eve once the boys go to bed. Our big gift to them is a PS2 so we hook it up to the tv that it needs to be on and wrap an empty box and say go find it. I also mark on the gifts (discreetly) so only I know which ones are for who from Santa. It always amazed me how my mom know what was in each box and who it was for now I know, cuz moms know everything. Ha Ha Ha....

coasterqueen replied: Okay so do you put tags on the gifts from Santa? I ask this because when I was young I remember my mom wrapped the gifts from Santa in special Santa paper but she would handwrite the tags or typewrite them out....was so easy to figure out. 
Well I won't wrap her piano from Santa, but I do have special Santa paper so maybe I will wrap all the other gifts.
FroggyJK replied: I do tags from Santa. I remember that when I was a kid and it was one of the give aways for me. I think Brandon is too young to notice the handwriting on the tags this year. In the future I may have a friend write them for me.

Ooh that's a good idea. Now why didn't I think of such an idea as that. I'll have to have my co-worker write them for me in the future.
Now last year at Hallmark they had these tags that were all funky cute little ornament shapes that had written on there "From Santa". So I grabbed a few packs of them and used them. After Christmas was over I quickly recycled them to use them this year. BUT I know they won't work once Kylie's little sister is born because they wouldn't know whose gift was for who.

Jamison'smama replied: We put our Santa gifts around the fireplace with the stockings--same room as the tree but seperate from the other gifts.
My mom actually suggested putting all the Santa gifts in a BIG toy bag so that it looks like Santa left a bag of toys for the kids.

I write to whom ever and than put from santa but I use a marker and make fancy
letters
Katie tried to compare hand writings a few years ago lol
But she said Mom the hand writing isnt the same
She is 11 now and very unsure if he is for real or not But hasnt asked for the truth yet

This is what we do. But, they are unwrapped, assembled and ready to be played with. 
MomofJandB replied: We usually assemble the big gifts, but wrap the rest with Santa paper. We use Santa tags, too. I try to disguise my handwriting. We also type a computer letter to the kids from Santa thanking them for the cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer. I think my DD is figuring things out.
