How do you get your news?

C&K*s Mommie wrote: If you watch national cable news channels, which one(s) do you prefer to get your daily digest of news?

Do you read the news off of the internet, such as at specific news sites?
Do you read your local newspaper?
Do you also read the national papers, such as The New York Times?

Just curious.

I watch FoxNews, as well as read their website. I also skim our local paper online for the news. There is an independent weekly paper that I pick up to get the entire story, since it tends to be less biased than the local paper. I find humor in the real news, but with an edge on Comedy Central and The Colbert Report, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. laugh.gif laugh.gif I also skim other news websites for the news.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I don't always get a chance to watch the local news in the AM...
but I get the news paper, and get the noon time news headlines sent to my email from the local news channel, as well as breaking news stories.

mammag replied: I watch the morning local news and then it's only Fox News and their website really. I also listen to Laura Ingram & Rush Limbaugh at times for more detailed discussions on topics.

TheOaf66 replied: i read my local paper online, and get my sports info online as well...a good thing about my job, I get all caught up on my reading laugh.gif laugh.gif

DVFlyer replied: I catch about 15 minutes of news on the local TV news station in the morning while I'm eating breakfast and then watch a bit while I'm falling asleep.

gr33n3y3z replied: I catch the most news on here with posts lol
But when something important is going on I watch fox news

TLCDad replied: We really like to watch the news here. Usually we watch FOX News. I also get my news from the web, especially for technology news and I read headlines on my cell phone.

My other computer that sits next to me which is a MAC also has news headlines as it's screen saver which is kinda neat.

luvbug00 replied: I am a avid CNN watcher but I also check out the MSN page too.

Amanda replied: I listen to a lot of NPR. CNN is my homepage. I read my local newspaper. I *detest* FoxNews, FTR. It fills me with rage.

zdk753 replied: I watch the local news & read the local paper.

amynicole21 replied: CNN.com, Yahoo news when I'm checking my emails, and we watch the nightly news every night.

moped replied: I come on Parenting Club for my news - LOL

Kidding!

I watch the city news and sometimes a national news

huggybugboy replied: I'm sadly very uninformed. laugh.gif

redchief replied: Local newspaper every morning.

FoxNews and CNN at break.

Local city news at noon.

Usually peruse FoxNews, CNN, and MSNBC news online in early evening.

I find the best way to combat spin is to get the news from all of the spinners and form my own opinions. thumb.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied: from other people. I will not watch the news because I get depressed

luvmykids replied:
I'm not kidding, how sad is that? I figure if something big happens someone here will want to talk about it. Other than that, just my mom. blush.gif

PrairieMom replied: on here a lot of the time blush.gif laugh.gif
i also wath the local news in the AM and John Stewart at night laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: so very true!! thumb.gif
