How do you bank....????

I'm asking becuase I am a banker and just curious. Also because I'm new to this online banking stuff. I'm always worried that someone would get my acct. number and go hog wild with it, kwim!!!!!



To answer my own ? I do most of my stuff at the bank or with my debit card. Both of our checks are direct deposited so I really never have to go to the bank except to work lol

Hillbilly Housewife replied: We just switched banks... so for now, we go to the teller to deposit stuff (so that we don't ahve a hold on the funds) and once all the direct deposit stuff is settled, then it will just be online banking

Brias3 replied: I recently signed up for online banking through our financial provider and it works really well. I was leery at first but someone at the bank went through the whole process with me and now I'm not so worried about anything happening to my information over the web. Careful but not freaked out. I do most of my major bills online (with the exception of the water bill and that sort of thing. which I bring directly to City Hall, and a couple of store credit cards) . I also do the majority of my money transfers from one account to the other online.

redchief replied: I do a little bit of all of the above. I have direct debit for my house payment and car and others. Online for my credit card payment, utilities. Paypal for ebay stuff and Parenting Club. Debit for store purchases and checks for doctors.

I was wondering the other day, do you notice the banks having less traffic with all the other ways to do stuff now? Or do the people who don't want to convert to modern day technology still keep you guys busy?

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I use the drive up at the bank to deposit/cash DH's pay checks, two bills are direct debit, checks for other bills, debit for most store purchases, and I use the online banking to transfer money from checking to savings.

boyohboyohboy replied: I do every thing on line....we have one credit card with a $500 limit for online shopping in case someone ever got the number, and our bank is very safe, and takes three passwords to get into!

coasterqueen replied: Online banking for bills. Our mortgage we go and directly pay that. Some things are direct billing. Our spending money we get every week is cash. The check card is used for emergency purchases if/when our spending money is gone during the week and there is a fat chance there's also money in the account . Groceries and Cleaning supplies are bought w/the check card.

I have a few things auto with draw, others I write a check for, I dunno I just like writing checks. I have not really ventured to on line banking and not sure if I will.

TheOaf66 replied: well cardinal, I used to be a banker and online banking and direct deposit are great. The only time I have to go to the bank is to deposit checks from the parents of the daycare. The rest I do at home on my computer. I am a big fan. I could not live w/o my checkcard
