How do I get my DH's ex to leave him alone! - I'm so very frustrated

Ellie wrote: Josh and I have been married for 5 years. The girl he dated before me will not leave him alone. He doesn't answer her emails or phone calls, but she won't stop.

Things she's done in the past:
Randomly shown up at his work to "take him to lunch" (three years after they broke up)

Called and said she was pregnant when they were dating and miscarried (she never mentioned this when they were together. Personally, I doubt the story)

Called our house phone at 3 a.m. and left drunken "I love you" Messages.

We've just been ignoring her. But today, Josh comes home and checks his email and she sent him naked pictures of herself!!!

CantWait replied: You need to have a talk with her if he hasn't yet. If he has and you have, then it's time to change numbers, emails etc and if all else fails get a restraining order dry.gif

Ellie replied: He told her to leave him alone, at least 10 times. I have stayed out of it. But this might be the last straw.

I thought about a restraining order but she hasn't done anything illegal. sad.gif

skinkybaby replied: How creepy. Have him block her email address and change your numbers.
Why did they break up if I may ask?

mom2my2cuties replied: We had this issue with my husband's ex.

We had enough and called the police, because we had moved, unlisted numbers, everything and she used a PI and his SSN to track him.

But we called the police and they called her and told her that a complaint had been filed against her and that if she continues with the contact and harrassment that she would be arrested.

Cece00 replied:
Uhh, yeah she has. She will not quit harassing your husband after its been requested that she stop.

Ellie replied: Skinkybaby, they broke up because she was cheating on him. And she's craaaaaaazy.

mckayleesmom replied: I would email her back personally and tell her that the next time she contacts MY HUSBAND...her cellulite will be plastered all over the world to see.

mom2my2cuties replied:
I did that one too. I posted naked pictures of my husband's ex along with her address and phone number all over the Seattle Craigslist (where she lives)

Calimama replied:
emlaugh.gif Hahaha. I would file the restraining order.

Ellie replied: I've had a few dealings with the police, and I am not sure I have any thing that would qualify for a restraining order.

And I have thought of some really mean things to do, but I'm trying to pretend that I'm above that.

mckayleesmom replied: I understand that you want to be above that, but Im the revenge type. Plus, IMO, If you do something stupid...you deserve the consequences.

Now for my second revenge tactic.

I would photoshop her as different animals or something....Then I would send them back to her with a poll on what animal the family most think she resembles....LOL.....Or instead of Family...Myspace members...... rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I got another one

Copy the picture and send it to all her friends and family members....Maybe they will have her committed when they realize she is a wacko.

Ellie replied:
That is awesome!

jacobsmama replied: I agree you need to let her know to leave you all alone and that if she doesn't then you are going to call the police and make sure she doesn't bother you any more and you could do what Brianne said! LOL laugh.gif

hawkshoe replied: I think I would tackfully have your dh tell her that he isn't interested and that if she doesn't stop her antics he may have to send her pictures to a few choice people (like family, coworkers, etc).

gr33n3y3z replied:
This is the best answer
Bc your not stooping to her level even tho its very tempting lol

But the police will tell you to change the number and any other things she may have first then they will take over from there after the changes.

Ellie replied: It just really irks me that she won't let it go. She had her chance years ago. I keep hoping she'll get married, although she'll probably just send dh an invitation.

holley79 replied: (I know this applies in the state of Florida, but you can check with the local LE agency.)

If you repeatedly ask someone to leave you alone and they don't that's harrassement. I would contact the local LE and see what their take on it is. If you have to exaggerate and say you don't know what this person is capable of and you are concerned for your welfare and the welfare of your child. I would also speak to them about the possiblity of obtaining a no contact order.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I would contact the local police and press charges or file a complaint against her. Then see about getting a restraining order. She must be wacko!!! She needs to just get over it and move on. What a nutcase!

Ellie replied: Oh my goodness

Good thing we already decided to change our phone number and keep it unlisted.

She called last night. It showed up as unavailable on the caller ID when I answered it. It was her! I told her I'd appreciate if she'd leave my family alone and if she was capable of that on her own, I would call the police and see if I could get harrassment charges filed against her.

Well, she went OFF. She told me that she's pregnant with Josh's baby and they are going to elope. I laughed and told her that obviously she wasn't going to be able to handle this on her own and to expect a call from the police.

I would be mad if it wasn't so darn funny.

Cece00 replied:
OMG, can you say WACKO.

My husband had an ex like this...she tried that whole "I'm pregnant with his baby" thing & then like I saw her, and she WAS NOT pregnant. Then she was like "Oh, I had the baby, it was premature & I gave it up for adoption."

rolling_smile.gif

OMG, C-R-A-Z-Y. He told her if she contacted him again he was going to file harrassment charges. She got the picture.

I'd go ahead & file those charges with law enforcement if I were you...she sounds psycho.

Calimama replied: wow she's desperate. ohmy.gif

Ellie replied: I am starting to think she might need some professoinal help rolleyes.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
That was my thought too. Something isn't all ok with her. Normal people just don't go an do that. How old is she?

skinkybaby replied: What a whack job. Did you call the police? WHat did you husband have to say? I'm sure she loved you laughing at her rolling_smile.gif

Ellie replied: She's 30.

I haven't called the police yet. DH is supposed to be calling the phone company today to get out number changed.

mom2my2cuties replied: Make sure you have the number not only unlisted but unpublished as well, so that way she can't get it from calling information or using a service powered by Axiom.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: OMG...is her name Gretchen??? Because I swear she must have been a GF of my DH too!! DH and I have been married for five years too and I swear...his GF before me still doesn't leave us alone! I've posted about it before! She did ALL the same things...left messages on my MIL's answering machine saying she was PG with DH's kid. Totally impossible! We have moved maybe four times and yet she somehow finds us!! She writes him letters, she tries to email him, she tries going through Classmates to find him! It's insane!! With DH's approval, I wrote her an email telling her to respect our wishes and leave us alone and she did the same thing...she went OFF on me, calling me dirty names and all! How immature and CRAZY is that??!

Anyhow, I totally feel your pain! I just find it so sad that a woman can sink so low...I truly feel sorry for people like this...there definitely has to be some screws loose! I don't know how to handle it myself...probably ignoring it is the best answer. Hang in there! hug.gif
