A&A'smommy replied: I was actually dating another guy, and talking to one of his friends at the time well he friend was dating a girl (that he was tired of) and started feeling guilty about talking to me SOO he introduced me to Jeremiah and gave Jeremiah my msn, yahoo addy and telephone number without my permission and i was TICKED I wasn't really into Jeremiah he kinda dressed differently that most of the guys I dated. SOO anyway I gave him a chance and talked to him on the internet he kinda stuttered around asking me out and finally asked him if he was going to ask me out or not and from then on we were inseparable. About 3 years later I found out that our mutual friend and Jeremiah had a bet going to see who would go out with me first

sparkys2boys replied: Dh was actually seeing a girlfriend of mine but she was the kind that always was callling and saying.. call him.. is he mad at me.. whine whine whine  So after I called twice to ask him what was going on we started talking more and more about everything except her  Awwww, I am so glad that 14 yr old girls can be so immature 
Boys r us replied: It was my 23rd birthday. I was supposed to meet some girls from work at a bar downtown for a night out to celebrate. Before that, I had dinner with my parents..then got my car and went downtown, I went a little early b/c my best friend Grace was the manager of the bar we were going to, so I knew we could hang out for a few before my co-workers arrived. Well, Grace bought me a shot and I was talking to her and this guy to the left of me sitting in a booth with some friends of his caught my eye. I kept looking at him and grace kept say, pay attention, i'm talking to you and I was like YES..BUT DO YOU SEE THAT GUY??? he's the HOTTEST THING I'VE EVER LAID EYES ON! -and she was like yes..I know he's cute..but seriously pay attention to what I'm saying! So..finally I stopped looking and then my cell phone rang, so I stepped outside to take the call so I could hear. it was my co-workers..they were all riding together and had been to dinner prior to our plans together..one them had a sick child at home, so since they were all riding together, they all went home so the one chick could go get her son. I was bummed..I got stood up on my birthday! So,the second I hung the phone up before I could even turn around to walk back in, I heard someone scream my name from behind me. It was my best friend from middle & high school, Lori. We hugged and chatted for a minute, she asked what I was up to for the night and I told her it was my birthday and I got stood up. She said she and her fiance were back visiting from Boston and had a couple of other friends back inside and I should join them..so I did. I almost peed myself when I followed her back to the table where my DREAM GUY was sitting...yes, she was hanging out with the guy I hadn't been able to stop staring at! As it turns out, her fiance was best friends with him..and the "him" turned out to be Rick. We've been insperable from that night forward and together for 9 years in July.
BAC'sMom replied: Spring Break~South Padre Island 1989. I called him an *sshole and we have being together ever since then. It will be 19 years next month

We met in college, Jennie and I were over flow students for the dorms so we were put up in the Holiday Inn. We met in the hot tub one evening as she said I was looking like a jerk. She was seeing another guy at the time (who was later her fiance  ) and I thought she looked nice in her bikini so I invited her and her roomate up for cocktails and the rest is history

That's pretty much how we were. I hated him after the first date and told my mother to stay out of my love life (my bf at the time was in Iraq and had been gone for 2 yrs and she said I was too young to wait for him  ). I never called him and he never called me and about 4 months later we moved to another town and I was on the porch of our new house and looked over at the house next to ours and he was sitting on the porch. He was my freakin' neighbor!!! We kind of grew on each other after that.
FYI: the bf in Iraq came home to wish us both luck and stayed my best friend (which he was before we started dating) and became friends with DH. It all worked out for the best. Then my ex married one of my friends.

Yes. She worked with him and apparently he knew me but I didn't know him. So it was a one sided blind date I guess you could say.

I needed a partner for a co-ed pool tournament, the guy who was supposed to play with me got back together with his girlfriend the day before and was scared she'd dump him again if he did so he sent DH. I hated him on sight but got sucked in anyway

Oh well it taught him a very valuable lesson. DON'T ignore me when I am talking to you BUDDY and he found out early on that I speak my mind, so he knew what he was getting into
HuskerMom replied: We both worked at shopko in highschool. A friend of mine introduced us and we've been together ever since. On feb 12 it'll be 10 years since we started dating.
Twelve Volt Man replied: It was September, 1993. I was a sophomore in college and my wife was a freshman. She accompanied some friends to my dorm for a "hall crawl," a huge party on our floor, where she was supposed to be set up with another guy. I felt like he was a dork and unworthy of the company of such a beautiful young lady, so I swooped in to rescue her. We hung out the whole night, having a blast. I tried, unsuccessfully, to get her to stay overnight (what can I say... she's a lady). The next day, we met for a football game and have been together ever since. 14-1/2 years later, and she's still putting up with me!
stella6979 replied: Jeff and I met at our first softball game. We were the first two people there and while I was tieing up my cleats my lace broke, so I asked him if he had an extra. He said "NO" and walked away. I thought he was a jerk. He later admitted that he thought I looked so cute in my softball "gear" that he was just too nervous to talk to me. He moved in with me 5 months later.

grapfruit replied: I was 16 and working at Quality Farm and Fleet. I saw this guy, Jeremy, and we flirted and hit it off. Just so happens we took a photography class together (although he slept through most of it).
Anyway, Tim was his best friend (no tomatoes!). I never really thought about Tim like that until Jeremy dumped me (it was kind of a nasty break up). I started hanging out w/Tim who was pretty quiet, but really nice. (Hahahahahaha....quiet hahahahahaha not anymore!)
So anyway, like I said, about 3 months after Jeremy and I broke up Tim and I got together. Jeremy was (of course) enraged. Apperently he only broke up w/me to "teach me a lesson" and was planning on asking me back out (can you tell we were teenagers )
Whatever, I made the better choice. Jeremy lives in his mom's basement (at 25) and has a suspended license b/c he doesn't pay his child support. He can't get a good job b/c he has 2 DUIs on license. Tim on the other hand now co-owns (w/me!) a house, has a great job, is in school to better himself and is an all around better guy!

I met lars when he was still in the womb. Our families lived in the same neighborhood and our moms were BFF's then they moved away when i was 7ish and i found him on myspace and our first metting again was on 9-26-06 and then we started dating in december after i was dumped by brad. ( THANK GOD!)
it's been a year and 2 months of ups and downs but well worth it 
mummy2girls replied: I opened up my dayhome sept of 2006 and one of the moms and i was talking and she was telling me her brother moved with them recently from calgary. I said as a joke you have a brother? send him my way.. so she did...LOL. And its been just over a year and now we are engaged to be married this august:)

I would come in with the mutual friend and flirt with DH, he had the best smile and these huge bear hugs that made me melt. I knew instantly that this was the guy I was going to marry. Love at first sight I guess. He wasn't really into me at first, so I dated a handful of other guys. Then we reconnected and the rest is history...15 years we've known each other, been together for 10, married 6.
DillsMommy replied: Tom and I met at a pet store (sorta) Thats where I first saw him, but he's best friends with my best friends husband (bf at the time) Makes sense? Lol. So they kinda set us up. I was not interested at all, he just wasn't "my type" But he begged and chased till I gave in and we've been together for almost 6 and a half looooong years!
austins mom replied: I met mine thanks to my sister. She was going on a date with his roommate and my DH was going with them... Well being the big sister that I am I wasnt going to ler her go with 2 guys alone. So I tagged along. And I have been with him ever since. We just started our 11 yr together.

Brias3 replied: I like to think we met by "fate" What happened is that we ran into each other in the airport at the luggage pick-up carousel- we were waiting at two separate side by side carousels. We small talked very briefly, but never introduced ourselves or anything like that- just small talk. Afterwards, I left to meet a friend for dinner. Well lo and behold, I saw him later in the restaurant, sitting with two other guys. I put two and two together, realized where I recognized him from and by that time he saw me too, we ended up chatting a bit and all six of us (me and my friend and him and his three friends) sat down for a drink in the bar after dinner and the rest, as they say, is history!
holley79 replied: Shawn and I met the first time at a little get together. The first time we met I thought he was an arrogant A-hole and he thought I was a stuck up B. Well we met up again at a party at a friend of mine's house who lived right next door to him. Him and I kind of talked and laughed with one another but we didn't like hook up or anything. I was back at my friends house to visit and he was next door at Shawn's house. Shawn and I started really talking and talked till the wee hours of the morning. We have been together from that point on. In March we will have been together for 10 years and married for 5.

In practice, the football team would jog by our field everyday, and as I gazed after him on that first lovely fall day, with my teammates poking and teasing me, he dropped to his knees a few feet from us, and barfed all over the place. I knew he was the guy for me after that.
lisar replied: Well I had this friend that I worked with that was dating dh's friend. So she set us up. I met him loved his car told him I wanted to drive his car 92 Mustang GT all decked out. So he let me drive and I got pulled over and got a ticket. This is the first night we ever met...... The rest is kinda history.

OH THANKS make me look bad......... I was going a SINGLE date with his roomate and he wanted to go so I asked my sister if she wanted to go. Thats what happened....
Oh and I say single date cause that was the only date I ever went on with that guy. NOT MY TYPE!!!!!!!
MoonMama replied: DH was/is my oldest brothers best friend, they have been friends since way before I was born. He was my biggest crush for years, he finally asked me out when I was 17, ticked a ton of people off. But we are obvioously ok with that. And we have been together ever since.
