How did the ultrasound go Supermom???

We are not wanting to know what 'it' is, though, so no news in that dept! (much to the older kids' dismay!)

Well, everything looks great, and hopefully when my computer gets done rendering this video I will be able to scan the u/s pic and get it posted on the website.

The doc informed us he now knows what sex the baby is but the secret is safe with him, no matter how much the older kids begged him to tell - or should I say bugged him to tell? He's really an AWESOME doc.

And the best news is that he's willing to let me do the VBAC thing again (YAHOO!!!!!) I've had two c/s and he wasn't really sure what the hospital was going to say (you could read my post about a gripe for the details), but apparenty he's not going to say too much about it, and we're just gonna go for it!! hehehehehe Did I mention that I LOVE my OB???? That was the most exciting news.

Well, back to work for me and hopefully I will get some stuff done!!

It is terrific that your OB is letting you do a VBAC. I've heard lots of hospitals are making women with c-section histories have c-sections again for insurance (malpractice) purposes. I think that is awful. It is nice that your OB isn't jumping on that bandwagon.

Nods, there are three other local hospitals here - one in our town and two others in towns close to here that are no longer doing VBACs at all because their insurance companies wanted to tack on a great big premium, and they didn't want to pay it. The small hospital I am going to has the same insurance company, so hopefully things won't change before I get there to deliver!!

What's really sad is that it isn't really even the doc's decision, it's the hospital's - and they are basically stuck in the middle. My OB and I had this nice, long converstaion when I first asked about it.

And, of course, I do realize that it also depends on several other factors, like progressing at a good pace (longer labor = more chance of rupture) and some other things......but hopefully all will go well and we'll get thru this (probably last) one with no complications and no C/S! My OB is really awesome!! I can't tell you guys how much it means to find one you can really, really be comfortable with, and I am truly blessed in that respect.

And thanks all for all your well-wishes. Sorry I am driving some of you nuts not knowing the sex of the little one....hehehehehe .... but you'll find out right after I do - promise! teehee

supermom replied: Actually, that pretty much covers it - since DH parents live in Sweden, Anders' pics were up on the net before he was 5 hours old - giggle - so, I will be sure to at least pop in here and send you all the link....hehehehehehehe
