Homework Funny
MommyToAshley wrote: I didn't get a chance to look over Ashley's homework last night as I had a late appointment. So, I was going over it this morning with her.
The question was something like:
28 - A=15 A = _____ Explain how you came up with your answer:
Ashley wrote: 28 - A=15 A = 13 Explain how you came up with your answer: I thought real hard, that's all
I am still laughing.
PrairieMom replied: works for me. she's in 2nd grade? we were doing that stuff in middle school!
MommyToAshley replied: That's what I thought. To me, that's algebra. I'd hate to see what they are doing in middle school these days. I will probably need a tutor by then... LOL.
PrairieMom replied: yeah, that is totally algebra. Ugh.
amymom replied: That is totally funny, I love it. "I thought real hard"
Yes Math is interesting in middle school. I was a math major in college and have to relearn some of MaryBeth's work. Last night one of her equations was something like this:
Reduce: 2x(26xy-9+14xzy)
and there were exponents in there, but I don't know how to type them. lol.
bluebear replied: I HATE when they want you to explain how you got the answer. I would've wrote the same thing as Ashley but I usually left it blank and got points off
MommyToAshley replied: I'm pretty sure I did that stuff in high school, not middle school.
PrairieMom replied: I'm not sure if I did that stuff in college. Maybe I just repressed the memories since it was so traumatic!
Bracely replied: Thats so cute really they think too hard..
luvbug00 replied: wow we didnt do that till middle school!
MommyToAshley replied: This message is actually from last year... wonder what she will be doing this year.
luvbug00 replied: i am soooo slow..lol! not my day..
MommyToAshley replied: I do that too, I'll reply to a message and not realize that it had been bumped it. It's especially funny when someone is announcing a pregnancy. LOL
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol Ashley is so funny! I didn't even realize this was an old post, I must have missed this last year. I was wondering at them giving out homework like that on the first day of school!
coasterqueen replied: I must have missed this too. I think I would have answered like Ashley did. What they are doing in math is amazing. Kylie was even doing that stuff at the end of first grade last year. I don't even want to think about what we'll see this year.
AlenaScott replied: Algebra is been a common issue with every kid. Infect i afraid a lot from maths when I was in high school. Still remember those days.
yvonnemommy replied: Haha So cute!
