Home on bed rest

For about 3 weeks my BP was great, then yesterday it was higher again. It didn't help that I had the overly-cautious doctor again yesterday. She's been the one to put me on more restrictions every time I have seen her - the other 3 docs just tell me to watch out.

So yesterday was my last day at work and I'm on modified bed rest until I deliver. I really hope it won't be very long until the baby comes because the longer it takes the less time I have with the baby after she's born. Ugh! Anyone have any good book recommendations?? LOL!

well, at least try to take it easy....I'm sure once that baby comes you won't get much time to rest....so stock up on sleep now!!

I really enjoyed The Shopaholic books.... I Think there are a few...Confessions of a shopaholic, shopaholic takes manhatten, shopaholic ties the knot,
They are cute, lighhearted, fun books.

Boys r us replied: I love all of the books by Marion keyes..a couple of my favorites were Lucy Sullivan gets married and also Watermelon(which is a story of a girl's adventures through getting pregnant) they're fiction and so light hearted, you won't want to put them down!!!

I agree with the shopaholic books. They are great time killers...think Bridget Jone's because they are that type of humor.

I just finished a very unusual mystery called "The Daughter of Time" by Josephine Tey. The detective is bedridden in this book, so he's solving a very old crime from history with the help of a research assistant (the murder of Richard III's nephews).

I go for mysteries when I'm confined---P. D. James is good too.

Rest up and hang in there!

Sophia is BEYOND excited about the new baby. She won't keep her hands off of my belly and is constantly talking about how she's going to be a big sister and will have to teach the baby all sorts of things I hope this attitude keeps up after the baby is born!

As far as books, I just finished reading the Secret Life of Bees....it was a GREAT GREAT book IMO! Wow, it really was. I'm now reading Can You Keep A Secret but I can't recommend it yet because I'm only 15 pages into it, lol.

It won't be too long AMy! Like everyone else siad, enjoy some time with Sophia and get some rest! ALso fill in the new baby's baby book (at least all the pre stuff!)
