Holy Snow Batman

My2Beauties wrote: Finally, we're expected to get 4-8 inches of snowfall between 5pm and 10pm this evening! YAY!!!! We'll have something to show for this cold weather. We're supposed to get freezing rain too Not a fan of that. Anyways, this stinks though,I don't get off of work until 5:00 pm, I don't wanna drive in this crap.

coasterqueen replied: YAY! We are supposed to get some, but only a few inches if that. If you leave at 5, I bet there won't be that much snow to worry about traveling in.

I e-mailed my boss because Corporate Communications is the one who sent out the e-mail to notify everyone to be safe. I asked the boss if our dept was gonna get let go early because when it comes to snow, this city sucks at taking care of the roads!!! I have a long drive home plus I probably have to pick up the kids depending on what time DH gets off.

Well I hope they tell you to leave early. The last time we got snow here it was a complete mess.

My2Beauties replied: He said he hasn't heard anything as to whether we can leave early DH Is picking the kids up so that's a relief, he's off now.

grapfruit replied: Yeah we're getting that tonight too. The "southern" 1/2 of the valley isn't suppose to be as bad. Isn't it strange what 20 or so miles makes?? I think that's all the further away from Di and Dee Dee and yet my weather is typically worse.

We already have a good amount and it's still snowing. Here in Lex it's supposed to get 1-4 inches and then ice so we'll see, but at least it's beautiful now

We were in Gatlinburg this weekend and it was gorgeous there, in the 60's and we stayed in an amazing cabin on the river so I hated to leave (my parents are staying through Friday) but I work tomorrow and wanted to beat the bad weather home.

I'm thrilled to see snow though... it's such a rarity around these parts!
