My3LilMonkeys replied: When they did the preview and said "You'll never believe the last 5 minutes" I was like, yeah, sure....but they really shocked me with that!!!!

I hope both will.....I think Christina will and Callie won't for some reason, though I can't figure out why because Christina doesn't seem like the type.

So..... what happened??

Our Lil' Family replied: Ok Nic, I'll try to sum up the past few weeks:

George's dad was admitted to the hospital and they found he had cancer over a lot of his body. They removed some of it even though they are not supposed to if it has spread, because he asked them to. George did not know he asked for it to be removed, it makes healing from the surgery next to impossible. Anyway his dad died and he turned to Callie for support. He became a sex maniac and last night told her that the only time he isn't dying inside is when he is with her and asked her to marry him.

Christina and Burke haven't been speaking to each other because Christina thinks she was right in going to the Chief (I think that's the reason for the fight) and he thinks she was wrong. So neither wanted to speak first and it went on for at least 2 episodes. He was in the hospital for another surgery (by Derrick) and she kept trying to get other people to find out from him if he had had another tremor. Well eventually last night at their apt. she started speaking and she said her piece about still feeling that she was right in what she did but she didn't care if she lost this one (fight, by being the first to speak) because she was in it for the long haul and she could win another one. Once she was done with her talking he said, "Marry Me".

Bailey went around the whole episode trying to get attendings to sign a form stating that they support her in opening a free clinic. She finally got them all to sign one and she was talking to Izzy and said, now all I need is the funding and Seattle Grace Clinic will be a reality and Izzy thought a moment and said, You mean the Denny Burket Memorial Clinic. Basically told her she'd fund it with her 8.7 Mill from Denny.

Oh and the Chief gave his letter of retirement so all the attendings are fighting for his job now. And he went to his house with flowers and a Tiffany bag to tell Adelle that he retired and she wouldn't let him in because there was another man there!

I think that's the big story lines.

Thanks Naomi for giving the updates. I can start watching again on Thursdays now.

The Cheif and her are split up. She gave the Cheif, her dh an altamadum (sp?) months ago. Either quit your job and spend time with me, or we're done.

You guys, I forget this isn't real life. I get so wrapped up in this darn show, it's insane!!! I have to remind myself while I'm bawling after every episode that's it's just TV.

Although I have to agree that he was a butthead... they are technically still married... so it's an affair

But now I think that he'll end up with Dr. Grey (Meredith's mom) where he wanted to be all along.

As for Christina and Callie, I'm not sure what will happen there, but I don't think either will say yes... neither SHOULD say yes. I'm still waiting for Isaiah Washington to get his pink slip Maybe Christina will say no, he won't get the chief job and he'll "leave" the hospital.

I'm glad that Bailey got the chief job and I think everyone will tell Izzy she's nuts, but she'll still go through with the clinic because that's who she is.

Oops... I must have misunderstood... I was only half watching at that exact moment. I thought he was just saying she had to prove herself. Frankly, I think none of them should get the job... sleeping with/kissing/covorting around with their interns... lol, but I digress, it's a tv show.

I still hope Isaiah gets the ax

I would love to see Bailey as a Chief. I think it's awesome what Izzy has done with the money so far. I would LOVE to see an update on the girl that she paid for her surgery.

I think Yang will say yes and Callie will say no.

Crystalina replied: I'm so glad to find this thread! I missed the show on Thursday and thought I'd lose my mind not getting to see it but then I remembered that there is usually a GA thread here at PC. Sure enough.... found it!

I think Christna will say yes but Callie and George are too fresh. They haven't been together long enough for her to say yes and she seems to have a good head on her shoulders. She loves George but I doubt she will jump into marriage with him.

Lol... I have had to do that more than a few times when I missed it... I can't go missing my Grey's! It's not many shows I'm addicted to, but that and House are two that I just don't miss

Here's my predictions..

Christina will freak out in her normal fashion, and say "no". There will be even more tension between her and Burke now.

Callie will tell George that she loves him but she can't marry him right now, but to ask her again when he isn't grieving over his Dad.

The Chief will stay on as Cheif but he probably won't tell them until they've all made fools of themselves fighting over the position.
