Hmmmm....
DillsMommy wrote: So DH decides to make us dinner for tonight. Last night he takes out the crock-pot throws 2 BIG cans of cream of mushroom soup in there, a package of stew meat, potatoes, muenster cheese, and some random spices. It's been cooking all night and all day. And honestly--it doesn't smell so good. I give him credit for trying, but I don't know if I'll be able to eat it tonight. I feel bad.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: maybe you could take a little taste of it....and fix it up a little if it doesnt taste so good? kudos to dh for trying what a good guy!
Crystalina replied: Aww, how sweet. You better gag it down!
grandma replied: Well give him credit for trying, that's cute.
A&A'smommy replied: oooo that was REALLY sweet of him for trying but omg it SOUNDS gross you might want to sneak in there and try to make it taste ok
DillsMommy replied: I agree, it's SO cute of him for trying. I'll just have to doctor it up a bit before he gets home from work...
grandma replied: Hey, I'll bet Peyton would eat it....lol
Calimama replied: Sounds like a good plan.
DillsMommy replied: Hehe..I think Peyton would eat anything. It might even taste like some of his baby food.
sparkys2boys replied: Awwww its good that he tried!!! Have you tasted it yet??
Calimama replied: Actually his baby food might taste BETTER. JK.
grandma replied: lol - He just looks like he's waiting for the next thing to come close to his mouth...cute
lisar replied: Taste it. You never know it might be good.
DillsMommy replied: OMG, I tasted it and it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! Oh I'm so thankful I won't actually have to "gag" it down. Now I just have to get past the way it looks.... lol.
sparkys2boys replied: If only your DH knew what you were saying about his cooking right now!! Glad its not THAT bad..lol!!
boyohboyohboy replied: does he have a name for it? let him taste it first......
lisar replied: See I told you so.
holley79 replied: Don't forget to compliment the chef. The combo doesn't sound too bad. Let us know.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ahh, that's so cute of him, but it TOTALLY sounds like my DH. He will throw just about anything in a pan and fry it up, thinking he is being creative but it never tastes all that great. I think once he boiled cut-up chicken in cranberry juice!! Or maybe it was grapefruit juice...either way, it was gross! And he forgets to use spices, so it's always really bland.
Sorry. I always just grin and bear it because sometimes having a break from cooking is worth it to me!
