Hives!!! I'm breaking out in Hives!!!

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: HELP!!! ohmy.gif What is going on??? My face is covered in hives. My face, neck and right ear are about to itch off! And they are down in my ear. I'm allergic to something, but I don't know what I got into. dunno.gif It could be nerves, but if it is, they are showing up a little late b/c I'm not nervous about anything now.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Did you eat anything that you haven't had before???? If they are bad go to the doctor, don't risk your health!!!

moped replied: When did it start?
Have you eaten anything different?
Touched anything strange?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Aimee...sounds like an allergy to something. Did you just clean with a strange product and not wash your hands by accident? What about a new sweater? I breakout from cashmere and wool...total hives everywhere (but I don't think on my face). Or what about a new skin product? I also breakout from alpha hydroxy or things that have too much perfume in them. New makeup?? Go to the doc if you start having a fever or feeling faint!

Hope you feel better soon! hug.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Well, I have really sensitive skin. It started yesterday. I remember scratching my face yesterday b/c it was itching and there were little bumps on my face. It is so much worse today. blink.gif I haven't eaten anything different that I know of, but one little thing could have caused an allergic reaction and I have no idea what that could be. I haven't used new products or touched anything different that I know of.

NikkiM replied: Take some benadryl NOW!!! Good luck hun!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm going to put some benadryl cream on it and see if that helps.

My2Beauties replied: That is what I was going to say - Benadryl! ohmy.gif If they get any worse please go see a doctor ASAP! Keep us updated!

coasterqueen replied: Yikes! ohmy.gif

hug.gif Hope the cream helps. hug.gif

mckayleesmom replied: You should take the pill form of benadryl......it might make you drowsy, but not too bad...just lay on the couch and let the kids play.

mckayleesmom replied: aimee...maybe they put a new ingredient in those tamales you got yesterday.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I guess it could be anything, huh? I will have to take the pill form b/c I'm itching all over my head now. blink.gif This sucks. dry.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Ya...the benadryl cream is a joke anyways....he fastest way to get rid of it is to take the pill form.

Hints to get rid of the drowsiness...

Eat something AFTER you start to feel drowsie and take a hot bath....those 2 always make the drowsiness subside for me.

Boys r us replied: WHAT??? Oh no Aimee!!! Start thinking real hard about what you've done differently in the last day! Any new products?

Take some benadryl!

redchief replied:
Actually I like the liquid form best. It gets in the system faster. wink.gif

Hope you're feeling better. If the Benedryl doesn't work, get to a doctor!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I took the liquid children's. happy.gif That's all I had. I will give it a few hours and see how it works. Thanks ya'll..

BTW-I'm NOT looking like Will Smith in Hitch or anything. rolling_smile.gif laugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I took some benadryl yesterday and it helped the itching for a few hours and it also made me VERY drowsy snooze.gif I can still feel where I was broken out, but it doesn't itch and I feel better today. thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
laugh.gif what a sight that was

so still no clue? glad you feel better though.... hug.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad your feeling better today wink.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
That was a funny movie. laugh.gif

No, I have no idea what it was. dunno.gif I wonder if it could have been outdoor allergies?
