Hi from Russia - I made it safe, quick update

I'm settling in ok. I've been busy with unpacking the air and sea shipments that came in while I was away, and which came in yesterday as well, and getting the zillion id's I need for around here. The community is nice, there's a little pond here that the kids can sail their remote control boats, also nice pictures can be taken there. I don't have my camera yet as I forgot it in T.O. but I will post pics as soon as I get it. There's a park just outside out compound that is HUGE for walking, biking etc...we also live right along a canal. Our house is HUGE, omgosh, there's no cleaning it all in one day that's for sure. I've been cleaning it since Sunday and and it's driving me crazy, once it's done though, it's all upkeep.

The kids school is HUGE also. I can't believe it. They are really enjoying it though.

The people here are super, and are helping out quite a lot.

Shopping (been twice now). The markets are a little fustrating and intimidating, but doable. The grocery store is alright, less crazy. Really though, things weren't so bad, and I think after a few times going I will be use to it. I will have to learn some basic Russian to make it easier, things like chicken, beef, etc and numbers....mainly though, you just point, and it gets you by the basic.

Sunday I wasn't too sure if I would like it, today I'm a little more at ease. Three years might be doable.

We thinking of taking our first family vacation this month, it looks as if it might be ROME.

I've been thinking about you and wondering how it was going. Glad your adjusting, and things look like they will be fine. And a trip to Rome how neat, take tons of pictures if you can! I'm so jealous!

Thank you. I'm not so sure I want it to happen fast, as I want to go somewhere hot for vacation and have a decent enough body for a bathing suit, but we're not trying to prevent it either, so whatever happens, happens.
