Hi Everyone! - It's been a very busy couple weeks

I was 3cm dilated when I went in, so we decided to strip my membranes in hopes of starting labor within the next 72 hours. Well by the time I got home from my appt. I was already cramping, and when dh walked in the door at 3:00pm I was having regular contractions every 5-7 minutes.

Long story short, I went into the hospital early the next morning, and at 11:30am, Oct. 20 (also dh's birthday ) Mia Eliana made her grand appearance She weighed 8.3 and was 21 inches long. She is just absolutely perfect.

DH got to spend 10 days with her before leaving last night

Now I am heartbroken, dh is gone and it's just me and Mia. I miss the boys like crazy and can't wait till we get all the paperwork completed and get her visa so we can be a family of 5 finally.

so what is the discrepancy with her duedate/vernix? are they saying she was not as far along as the original ob thought?

I hope it won't be too long before you can be back with the rest of your family. I'm sure your boys are dying to meet their little sister as well!

Yes, they think she's a little younger because all that creamy substance is usually almost all gone by the time they are born.

The same thing happened with Ahsley having vernix. I was induced as they thought I was overdue but turns out my dates were wrong as she had quite a bit of vernix as well.

I hope the time passes quickly and you can all be back together again.

i hope that isnt right about the vernix. Breanna was 4 days late weighing 10lbs 7 oz and she was COVERED in the vernix. Can u iMagine she was early and weighed 10lbs.... ACKKK!!!!!
