Hey everyone - I'm back and thank you!

My2Beauties wrote: Thank you everyone for the well wishes, I read the thread and I'm glad you guys checked up on me biggrin.gif makes a girl feel good! The pain started Thursday night and progressively got worse up through Friday afternoon. I left work early went to my primary care doc and he immediately sent me over to the hospital. I don't have much time to post my horror story because I'm so busy today but I'll catch you up on the hospital horror story tomorrow. My gallbladder is not blocked nor do I have any gallstones but it isn't working properly and it does need to come out eventually. I am actually waiting on another surgeon to contact me back (I refuse to let the doc that saw me do my surgery) about my options. I will probably schedule it sometime after Christmas. It's going to be laprascopically (sp?). removed. I'll be out of work for 5 days, pretty minor surgery. I was in so much pain, would't wish it on my worst enemy and would probably rather be in labor than have a gallbladder attack. They thought they were going to have to do emergency surgery at first but it wasn't that serious. Anywhoo - that gets into my story as to why I was so upset. I'm fine, I will need surgery but will wait until after the holidays and I thank you guys again for your well wishes hug.gif

Welcome Back

So glad you are doing ok now... you had us really worried. Do they have you on any kind of medication to control it until after the Holiday? I don't know much about the gall bladder, but I certainly wouldn' t want you to have another attack during the Holidays. Take care of yourself, and don't hesitate to go to the doc if you start to feel bad again.

Kaitlin'smom replied: so glad your feeling better. Deffinaly get it done ASAP, if you feel even the smallest pain there go to the hospital, ok? I hope you dont get any more attacks. DH said they were awful. I remeber being up all the time with him, they always came on at night and he woudl be fine in the day. hug.gif let me know if you need anything

luvmykids replied: I hope you don't have any more attacks before the surgery, and glad it wasn't worse (although I'm not sure there IS anything worse! laugh.gif ) hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: LeaAnn I'm so glad you are okay. hug.gif Thanks for checking in with us. I'm sorry it was so horrific for you. sad.gif hug.gif

jcc64 replied: I have several friends who've had their gallbladders removed, and the surgery is not all that big a deal if done laproscopically. You'll be fine in a few days, Lea Ann. It's sort of weird that you got that, thought--gallbladder issues are usually a result of the 3 'F's: fat, forty, fatty food eaters. You certainly don't fit the profile. Nonetheless, I'm glad you know what you're dealing with and that it's pretty easily fixed. I'm sorry that you had to go through so much to get there, though. In the meantime, try not to eat too many rich foods over the holidays--that's the advice my friends were given. GL! hug.gif

My2Beauties replied:
rolling_smile.gif Well I fit the fatty food eater category - I don't have the best diet blush.gif I also was reading the other thread and meet some of the other "criteria" and it runs in my family so..... dry.gif it sucks but it's gotta come out!

Calimama replied: I'm so glad you're okay!! hug.gif hug.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: hug.gif Glad you're feeling better and hope you stay that way until it can come out.

msoulz replied: Welcome back - you had us worried! SOOOO glad you know what is up and are doing better!!! hug.gif

jem0622 replied: Those kinds of things are so scary! I hope you can get a consult soon and take care of you! Rest up!
