Hey Shawna, I feel your pain!
my2monkeyboys wrote: Last night at Will's soccer game this older lady (around 58-60, I'd say) asked me how many I have in here! I happen to think I'm carrying pretty decent, as that's what most people have told me, but this lady who I've never seen before in my life asked if I am having twins!!! When I told her just one her eyes got big and she acted like she felt sorry for me! Then on the way across the field leaving the game this other lady, whom I also do not know, asked what we are having. I told her a boy, and she said, "oh no, you already have a boy! You need a girl!" Like I have ANY control over that anyway, much less just weeks before birth! I guess she assumes everyone wants one of each or something like that. Some people just don't think before they open their mouths! Crazy!!!
A&A'smommy replied: why do some people even open their mouths!!
lisar replied: People dont need one of each. I have 2 girls and I am happy with that.
Swood75 replied: LOL...the nerve of some people..Well,I will have 2 of 1 and 1 of the other...I guess I will see how easy or hard it is with 2 girls..
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I cant imagine saying anything even remotely rude to a pregnant lady! Dont they know preggo mommas are hormonal and could really use a few nice words rather than wow youre huge!?
When I was pregnant with alex I worked at a restuarant and heard it all from all the customers...cant they just smile and say congrats or something!? Last I knew it wasnt safe to mention pregnancy to a stranger, like maybe they are just fat and you shouldnt ask oh when are you due!
Just today my mil made a comment about my waddle....hello lady Im entitled to my waddle Im 7mons pregnant! Oh and she made a comment about me looking tired and that vitamins would make me feel better. Um hello, being tired is par for the course and I do take vitamins! Not the best person to have fora neighbor right about now!
A&A'smommy replied: awwww Michelle you should be able to enjoy your waddle you are carrying a precious life around in there!!!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Thanks hun! I agree! And I love my waddle and my expanding belly...even though I cant bend over comfortably anymore...its one of the many joys of being pregnant ya know! She is not my biggest fan anyway so I dont expect anything more positive from her. She always has a comment or two no matter what the situation is!
my2monkeyboys replied: I just laugh it off for the most part, bc I know some people just can't help their stupidity. I think it's sad, too, that some think you aren't a complete family until you have at least 1 of each sex. I am thrilled that I'm having another boy, myself. There have been half a dozen people, at least, that have asked if we're going to try for girl after Waylon is born... very rude I think.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I think two boys will be fun A couple of my friends have two boys and they are the best of brothers.
I keep saying there just isnt room for a girl~There are all little boys in our family and they would be so rough with a little girl she wouldnt fit in
A&A'smommy replied: I agree I LOVE having two little girls and I'm not at ALL disapointed that we don't have a boy if its meant to be it will happen. People are so rude
moped replied: People really are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I seriously can't wait until I am BIG pregnant and get a stupid comment like that....I am totally going to look at them like and say I'm not pregnant...do I look pregnant? OMG maybe I should go get a test I just kept thinking I was getting some bad kung pow chicken and having lots of gas bubbles in there!
DillsMommy replied: I get that ALL the time. People tell me that I "HAVE to have one more, to try for a girl" or "are you really done? Don't you want a girl?" As much as I would love to have a girl--I'm very content with my two boys.
Haven't people ever heard the saying--If you can't say anything nice. Don't say anything at all. Geez!!
ZandersMama replied: I so did that, it was great. I was just in a gnarly mood and it picked me right up.
"huh, due, what do you mean due, do i look pregnant??
