Here's a rundown of my crappy night... - lol
Hillbilly Housewife wrote: First I only say the doctor after 5:30, and my appt. was at 4:10.
Then I had to go to the hospital to get a hospital card, so that the doctor's office can have the samples checked BY the hospital.
The samples were for: 1 - routine screening 2 - gonorhea 3 - chlamydia
Why the heck would those tests be needed? I've never had to do them except when I split with my ex, and after my pregnancy with Zach, just because of issues in our lives.... but never done "that" way....
Then my ultrasound isn't until May 9th, so I'm annoyed at that, because I didn't even get to hear the heartbeat.
My blood pressure is a little low (for me), at 122/68 so that explains why I'm usually in bed by 9....
the kids were awful - whiny and annoying - especially Emilie..... cried from 7 - 8:45...didn't want to go to bed. Finally I got SO ANGRY with her that I shoved her in her bed and slammed her bedroom door, she cried for another 10 minutes, then not a peep. It doesn't happen often that I totally lose it.... but man oh man Im thankful I'm not a viloent person, becaue it could be oh so much worse than that.
I'm just tired today... and I'm annoyed that I didn't get information that I wanted...and I'm on edge because of the info that I "did" get... (i.e the std tests, bcause it brings back a whole year of he** for me)
and I'm depressed on top of that because I just can't get used to the living standards here... i'm a big city girl, and this is butthold nowhere....hardly anybody speaks english, and while I speak perfect (or almost) french, I really do prefer english.... my appartment is too small for my stuff, the cats stink because the air-circluation stinks (no pun intended), the baby-sitter needs a whack with a frying pan....
anyhoo.
At least I didn't have to pay for the stinkin appointment. ASt least not yet, I'll probably get a phone call when they realize it... rofl
maestra replied: My drs office routinely does those tests, without really even telling you, except giving you a paper if you want to decline the hiv test.
I'm sorry it brought back memories of bad times.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Were they atleast able to estimate how far along you are? I would be beyond annoyed too, sorry it was a rough day.
b&bsmom replied: I know those days where you feel nothing can go right. I know the whole whiny crying annoying each other bed routine too. I have done that too, put them in their room after I have had enough. Yeah it is not the greatest thing to do but is nowhere near being the worst so everyonce in a while I tell my self that wasn't great and I will try better next time but I don't beat myself up about because we all lose it everyonce in a while. Try to take it easy ( i know impossible) and when you start to feel that way take a deep breath and count to ten and try to hang in there.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I guess I should have posted what his estimate was, huh? lol
he estimated at 20 weeks
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Awesome...I was 3 weeks off on the poll but that's a half over pregnancy I hope the next appt. goes better (and you don't get billed for this one)
JessC replied: I hope the next appt gets better... You seemed very stressed, have dh give you a backrub or foot massage!?
mammag replied: Sorry you had a bad day! Well, at least you were 5 weeks further than you were thinking. That's something good.
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm sorry you had a bad day But at least you have to look forward to today And maybe today will be alot better
~KARA~ replied: Sorry you had such a crappy day. My dr automaticly does thoses tests but always asks for the hiv one. I wouldnt get to excited about the dr saying your 5 weeks farther along, that might change when you do have your u/s. its only a week away so hang in there!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ha! Aint' gonna happen. I have a 100% better chance of getting it, if I go out and pay to have it done. Duh. Since I paid for the servcice.
lol!
I'm just going NUTS!
I can't wait until 5pm - we're leaving to go HOME (ottawa) and on Saturday, I'm going to try on my dress for the first of the 3 final fittings...... cross your fingers that it's not way too tight...
Then Saturday afternoon I'm going to the reception hall to finalize the buffet menu, the linese etc... I'll bring my digital (I'll have to have DH dowload the other pics... there are some that are like a year old....
I'll take lots of pictures....but in the meantime, if anyone is interested in seeing where my reception will be, the web site is www.stanleysfarm.com It's the BIG ranch, not the little stone house.... lol...in the virtual tour, it's the Maples. But we have the entire grounds at our disposal.
bwalkerletters replied: sorry, you had such a bad day Sooooo......how were those pickles??
Hillbilly Housewife replied: DOH! Don't remind me!
Actually, I asked DH to get me some when he comes home for lunch.... rofl
Today.... beef and onion "mush" is being served...so I prepared lunch...tuna patties (which I screwed up but oh wekk, still edible... lol) and parmesan pesto. Yum!
I can't wait to go to my mom's tonight.... we'll get there around 7pm, and she ALWAYS has gourmet pickles...
How gourmet can pickles be? but they're really expensive, but really good...
ETA: Lunch was prepared with the INTENTION of having pickles as a side.... lol don't know why, but pickles and tuna go really well together...
bwalkerletters replied: There you go talking about gourmet food, and it's not even close to lunch time yet for me! Thanks for making me hungry again! LOL
Hillbilly Housewife replied: you're very welcome!
moped replied: You had a crappy day alright - but you are pg so you are allowed - IMO!!!
