Here is an update - from my very first post here
moped wrote: My very first post here was regarding still swaddling Jack at 5 months - well he is coming up to 8 months and guess what? WE ARE STILL SWADDLING HIM!!!! I am quite sure his wife will have to swaddle him - LOL...........it has become a very big joke.
He just won't sleep without it - I have tried.
So, does anyone think this is strange now??????
Oh, and not his arms - BTW
alice&arik replied: I don't think it is that strange. No more strange than a kid walking around with a pacifier in their mouth for 3 years. I think it probably is just a security thing. Something that makes him feel better. But I wouldn't worry to much about it, you could probably just wean him of it slowly. Plus Arik has to hold on to my thumbs all the time, like when we are sitting in the chair, going to bed, watching a movie. It gets pretty annoying. He doesn't go to bed as easy if he isn't holding one.
For the past 3 or 4 years I have had to sleep with a pillow under my feet because I broke one, and cracked both of my heels. They just feel to weird without one like they hurt. And since knee surgery I have to have one between my knees. Otherwise I just have a hard time falling alseep.
moped replied: Alice - your siggy is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!
I guess it is just a security thing - and I suppose it isn't hurting him any?
My2Beauties replied: ITA with Alice on this one, it's just a security issue! He is perfectly fine!
Josie83 replied: ITA, I can't see that you are doing him any harm. Alice's point about it being the equivalent of a dummy is so true! He's only a baby, he'll be fine xx
moped replied: It is getting hard to find a blanket big enough for a 25 pounder!!!!!!!!
LOL
loveydad replied: aww no way is that a bad thing!
atlantamomof2 replied: That's so cute! I can just picture that sweet face and all 25 lbs wrapped in a blanket. I'm sure there's no problem with him doing that.
P.S. He is ADORABLE!!
moped replied: Thanks guys...............we just giggle everytime we wrap him up - and he LOVES it, he just get s all cuddly and grins cause he is going to bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kimberley replied: i agree! not strange... it is cute . i can just picture those giggly little cheeks post pics!!
alice&arik replied: Thanks! I was REALLY bored one day and was trying to be funny. I did it about a week ago and nobody has noticed except you. I need to find a hobby or something.
Kaitlin'smom replied: It sounds cute, guess he likes to be a snugley warm for bed. I can see the hard part on finding a blanket big enough....
A&A'smommy replied: lol hey if it makes him happy ENJOY it! Alyssa NEVER liked being swaddled not ever after she was born I took her home and she LOVED being free lol
You have such a cute little boy!
moped replied: Luckily for me - my mom is a wonderful sewer (sp), she makes him swaddling blankets and grobags..............I will take a picture because it is really hilarious getting him sausaged up for bed!
