Then there are 2 of him Thanksgiving night - he had spit up all over his cute Turkey/Gobble shirt so he's just in his pj's.

The next one is him in his carseat helping pick out our Christmas tree. He was so very excited! tongue.gif laugh.gif

The last one is just a random shot the day he turned 1 week.

He had his 2-wk (actually 2 1/2 wk) check-up yesterday, and he's grown 1 1/2" and gained a full pound. The doc says he's doing great, although we are having a bit of trouble with some reflux, it's not bad enough to need meds - at least not yet, so any tips/hints would be appreciated.
Otherwise we are all doing great, trying to get a routine down.
I hope to be on here more often now, though it still won't be as much as normal bc I'm having to help my dad since he just had a hip replacement done.
I hope all of you are doing great - esp all the new moms-to-be!!

He looks so peaceful! How does Will do with him now that he has been home a while?

Both my youngest had reflux. The peds told us that you can use malox in infants, I think it was 1/4 tsp in the dropper 4 times a day to help coat his throat so that there isnt any damage done from the stomach acid..and both the kids took it easily.
we also place a pillow under the top part of the mattress to elevate it. or rolled up blankets.
and holding him upright after he eats for 1/2 hour. or placing him in the carseat or swing to sit him up after he eats..

I am told that this is really common with infants and its just an immature valve that closes on its own..

my2monkeyboys replied: Will is still loving him - thankfully! We have to make sure he doesn't over-love him sometimes, but it's much better than I expected it would be. We try really hard to make sure Will is never left out feeling and that he knows that Waylon loves him more than anyone else... hopefully that is helping.
Thanks for the hints about the reflux - we do have his bassinet mattress raised at one end and that seems to be helping. I will certainly check into the malox, too. Luckily it isn't too bad, as it doesn't make him fuss, it's just a little messy sometimes. tongue.gif
I guess Waylon got his blondish hair from my dad/sister - they're the only ones that have blond hair on either side. It was funny when he was first born my DH looked at me and said, ok, is it Brian or Jonathan??? (The only 2 blond friends we have!) tongue.gif laugh.gif
