Here are pics of the two houses
My2Beauties wrote: OK here is the first house, there is only one pic of the inside, but according to Brian's friend, the house is nice, the description sounds nice anyways:

Bedroom #2:
mammag replied: They are both nice. Too bad there's not more of the inside of the first. I like the layout of the 2nd though. Good luck!!!!
Kaitlin'smom replied: from the pics I do like #2 better, other than the panniling.....but if you like it great if not take it down.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I like the double deck on the first house. But for me, personally speaking, I like brick houses, and single story homes. The second also seems to have more possibilites for expansion of the rooms.
Good luck!
coasterqueen replied: Not really enough pics on the 1st one to make a definite opinion. I like the second one better because I'm not a fan of bi-levels. I don't see too many of those around here anymore, or at least of what I "see".
The second house looks a little more 'outdated' to me, but I like the layout.
I guess it all depends on how much work you are going to want to put into it, ya know.
Also, make sure you check out that roof on the second house, how long ago has it been roofted? It's either the pic or that roof is a bit 'worn'. I do like brick houses, though .
Boys r us replied: I like the outside of the 2nd house the best..just cuter overall..not crazy about the wood paneling in it though.. but you could paint it white and it would help deter the look of it, KWIM? They're both really cute..I like #2 the best! Love love love the exposed brick inside!
moped replied: I like house 2 best - which one do you like?
Jackie012007 replied: #2 gets my vote! It is much cuter than 1 and I love the brick and what it looks like from the outside and the pool!!!!
Cece00 replied: I like them both. I can see TONS of potential for each, they just need a little updating.
My2Beauties replied: Being that Brian used to be a roofer we'll definitely look into that, but mainly when roofs look like that it's just normal wear and tear (algae) and is has nothing to do with the age of the roof it just depends on the weather. It does look bad on roofs though, that is why whatever house I do buy, when we do put a new roof on any house, it will be a black one or something dark that goes with the home. I am not a fan of the paneling neither as many of you said, I would definitely change that, but I loved the exposed brick, it was really beautiful! #2 was nicer all around but it didn't have a very big backyard from what I could tell aside from just the decks. The first one I couldn't tell how big the yard was. We are looking at 4 other houses tonight too, so we may potentially like one of those better, who knows.
coasterqueen replied: Must be where you live, because it's not the norm around here for algae to be growing on roofs. My dad and Ryan both build houses/garages for a living so I've seen more than my fair share, unfortunately. It's good you have someone with you who knows about that as well.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Good luck with your choice! FWIW, I would go with the rancher. We live in a two-story and I totally regret it! It's such a PITA with kids. As a matter of fact, my nightmare came true today and Wil fell down the stairs, backwards, on his head! He's fine, but it's scary. And it's so hard with laundry, taking the kids to bed, etc. Good exercise, but just not fun IMO. So although the first house looks nice, it has a lot of stairs (including the deck). I love the brick in #2, but like everyone else said, just tear down the panelling (or paint over it). Good luck!
luvmykids replied: Definitely number 2 for me, I don't like 2 stories either for the same reasons already mentioned. The paneling, oh well, an easy fix, but that brick is awesome!
MommyToAshley replied: I can't wait to hear how things went tonight and if you liked either of them after actually seeing them. I can see how both have possibilities!
A&A'smommy replied: I LOVE LOVE the second house!!! I hope everything went well for you guys!!
CantWait replied: I'm partial to the first pic, just because it's most like mine. If you look at my website there's a picture of the outside of it on there. The only thing I really liked on the second house was the space in the living and family room. The first pic doesn't look like it's got a lot of space. That could be either good or bad depending on how cozy you want it though, and whether there's a second living space and where you'll be spending most of your time.
gr33n3y3z replied: those are both nice the second one looks like you can add on to the back if you need too
One thing I dont like about the second one is how low the windows are to the ground but other then that its a winner
My2Beauties replied: Algae is a huge problem around here with the older neighborhoods because of the humidity here, it's terrible. Most builders and roofing companies use algae resistant shingles now, but even 5-10 years ago Brian said it wasn't common so that was the result. After you had mentioned that it was on my mind last night when we were looking in that neighborhood, that entire neighborhood had a huge problem with algae on their roofs, more than I've ever seen before, and I pay attention to the roofs a lot. I mean normally in neighborhoods, there are always 1 or 2 houses, but in this neighborhood it seemed like a large amount. Doesn't matter anyways because I wasn't impressed with the house at all.
