Help - quick! Sophia may need stitches

salmndr007 replied: I don't know....I would say ER because they would know how to deal with it for sure and you don't want to chance going to the Ped and having no one there.

amynicole21 replied: DH took her to the ER, and the ped said if they are there for more than an hour or two to come there and they would take a look at it. She was standing on top of the slide at school and fell and her teeth went into her lip. What a mess.

We actually went to dr, who put three stitches in my sons mouth, for almost the same thing, he was pushed onto a bench and his teeth went thru the front of his lip and then split the side of his lip. The ped was great, however made me hold him while he did it....
but it was puffy afterwards, and we gave him benedryl to stop trying to pick the stitches out....it helped him sleep and allowed for some healing time.

The only bright side is that the mouth will heal quicker than if it had been anywhere else!! Poor lil thing! Once the pain wears off, I'm sure she'll enjoy having a war wound to show off though!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I was going to say ER. That is where my Mom brought me when I did that very same thing when I was 4 or 5. My brother pushed me off a chair and they had to put stitches in. Poor Sophia.
