Hello! I'm a newbie and I have a question. - I'm a newbie and I have a question.

Mama2B wrote: [FONT=Arial][SIZE=1][COLOR=purple] biggrin.gif Hello everyone! Congrats to all of you! This will be my first baby. My DH and I are very excited. I believe I am around 7 weeks and 2 days. I'm not positive though because I've only seen the nurse, my official doctor visit isn't until Monday, May 12th. I can't wait! I do have a question though. I've been experiencing dull cramping the last few days. And as of yesterday I started having a peachy yellowy colored discharge when I used the bathroom. I know if the discharge is bright red and heavy that it could be a bad sign. But what about peachy colored? Also, the nurse had told me that mild cramping was normal, too. Have any of you experienced this or have any comforting advice? My DH assures me that everything is probably fine and that I'm just freaking out. I look forward to reading your posts. Thanks in advance.

MommyToAshley replied: Hello wavey.gif and welcome. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I am a first time Mommy too, and throughout my entire pregnancy I kept wondering if everything that I was experiencing was normal. I did have some discharge but it was kinda a clearish color? I called about this and was told it was normal. I did have some pink in it right after the pap smear, but was told to expect that. Did you have a pap when you saw the nurse?

As for the cramping, I don't recall experiencing any but if the nurse said that is normal, then that should put your mind at ease.

The people here are wonderful and someone might have some better advice than I have to offer. But, if you are concerned, do not hesitate to call your Doc or Nurse. I probably drove mine nuts but I don't care.

Insanemomof3 replied: Hi and welcome. I am due in September with #3. I too had a lot of cramping at the beginning. With all 3 pregnancies. It is totally normal. As for the discharge, I would call the nurse just to be sure and calm your nerves. My doctor got sick, I am sure, of me calling with all my concerns with my first. But that is what they are there for.

Hope all is well. Denise wavey.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I just had my baby about a little over a week ago, and I experienced cramping throught my whole pregnancy, especially around the time that I would normally have my period. Since I had miscarried once before I was constantly paranoid about this. So to ease my mind usually I would just take it easy until my next doctors appointment and avoid reading What to expect when your Expecting cause that book in my opinion was made to make people paranoid. Also to ease some of the cramping I would elevate my legs at night or sleep with a pillow in between them. Hope that helps you out some. wavey.gif

Konder68 replied: Hi from another newbie. Yes, the cramping is quite normal and will feel a lot like AF cramps, or rather PMS type. The discharge should be clear or a white creamy discharge (called leukorrhea). If you are experiencing a colored discharge you should call your OBs office and consult with them, especially if there is an odor about the discharge or is it is irritating to the labial or vaginal area. HTH and best wishes for a H&H pg! 2cents.gif

ediep replied: Hi and welcome. Congrats ony our pregnancy. I am not too sure about the discharge but I remember the mild cramps. I kind of described it like it feels like a large grapefruit it sitting on my uterus. It only lasted a few weeks. DOn't hesitate to call your ob for anything....even if you think its trivial....its their job!!!

jenn_0324 replied: Hi there- I'm new too and yes, I've had cramping all along, espcially in the first four weeks. I'm paranoid by nature and was constantly freaking out too but all seems well. My first appointment is on May 12th just like you... Good luck!

EDD 12/23

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Hi;... WElcome!! I only cramped for the first few weeks.... but I had LOADS of discharge, throughout my entire pg. It was SOOOO Gross. Yellowish...stringy...sometimes sticky or clumpy.... GROSS!!!!

Mommieto2Girls replied: Hi and Congrats on your new baby. I had a little girl 8months ago and I had a little cramping too during my whole pregancy, as for the spotting I spotted twice in the first two months when I was due for my period, I got paranoid but everything was fine.Good luck on your appt.

Mama2B replied: Thank you all for the welcomes and the comfort! I think my worries have calmed down a bit. I'll let you all know how my 1st doctor visit goes. Jenn, give me an update on yours, too! The nurse said she guessed that my EDD is 12/22. My DH and I think it could be anywhere between 12/19 and 12/23. How exciting!! Take care!
