Kentuckychick replied: so sad... especially for his little girl
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I just happened to flip on CNN and this was the headline. I am just shocked and sadened for his little girl.
Crystalina replied: Jeanne! River is the first person that came to my mind also.
I really like him so I'm also in shock but drugs...drugs are self inflicted. Such a needless way to go. And to leave a daughter behind. It's hard to feel sad over someone who died from drugs just as it's hard to feel sad over someone who puts a gun to his head. Of course there are the accidental cases from prescribed drugs which is not the same thing. I never took him for being a druggie but I guess nothing is for sure at this point. Still very very sad.
Kentuckychick replied: Apparently preliminary reports are saying that the pills were perscription sleeping pills. And I saw on CNN that in an interview from several weeks ago Heath commented on the fact that he tends to dive to deep into his roles and his recent role (the Joker) really bothered him (he said the role was draining both physically and emotionally) and that he was barely sleeping and stressing out about it.
Honestly it sounds to me like he was the last person who needed to be taking on such a role... so sad. An accidental overdose sounds very possible.
amynicole21 replied: Such a beautiful guy. Very, very sad.
jacobsmama replied: wow!
Crystalina replied: Oh wow. If that's the case how horrible.
Brias3 replied: OMG, I am in shock!
luvbug00 replied: I was shocked! it is very sad.
MoonMama replied: WOW!
A&A'smommy replied: Even Dh is sad about it, he wants to watch A Knights Tale My fav is Casanova
Boo&BugsMom replied: I have a cousin who is addicted to sleeping pills, so if that is the case, that really hits close to home for me. I was shocked too when I read it. How sad. He was so young.
Danalana replied: Oh wow...I can't believe it.
Nina J replied: It's very sad, he was one of the best Australian actors out there. I feel for his family, especially little Matilda. She probably won't even remember much of her dad His family have said it was accidental..I can't imagine what they're going through, he was found at about 7am our time over here so this is what they woke up to this morning..
my2monkeyboys replied: I think he had been having trouble sleeping and had taken some sleeping pills.... he must have overdosed. While I didn't care for Brokeback Mountain (for many reasons including the obvious one), I have always really liked him as an actor. I can't wait to see him in the new Batman movie. I think it's just sad.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I heard this yesterday on the way to Kaitlin's cheerleading practic. I was shocked and very sad. He was a good actor and I looked foward to seeing him in more roles.
jcc64 replied: I don't think it's clear at this point if it was an accident or not. But regardless, I think people lose sight of the fact that drugs prescribed by drs can be and often are just as dangerous as street drugs, if not more so sometimes.
Crystalina replied: So very true.
So far they've found nothing. MSNBC
grandma replied: I just read that he has been fighting herion addiction for years. That is never an easy drug to kick and it's never prescribed by your family doctor either.
jcc64 replied:
Not to be flip, but drugs like oxycontin, which are widely abused, are prescribed by your family doctor, and are every bit as addicting, potent, and deadly as heroin. Honestly, I don't think there's much of a distinction.
A&A'smommy replied: There really isn't... i have a family member that is addicted to oxycotin and then he was addicted to methadone the drug that is suppose to get you off of prescription drugs. If you saw him or talked to him you would know that he was a drug addict. it doesn't matter what kind of drug it is.. it can be a deadly drug that can destroy your family and your life.
My2Beauties replied: Terribly sad, what a waste!
Crystalina replied: I'm sure it was just accidental from what they found although now they are talking about finding a rolled up $20 bill on the nightstand that they are going to check for residue even though they found nothing at all like that in his room. It's very sad.
HuskerMom replied: How sad!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: You're right, there's not. They treat it the same. Oxycontin was intended for patients who are terminally ill. It is highly addictive. My brother was addicted to them for years. He also took methadone, Jessy. And abused it. Prescription drugs are dangerous. I think they are so much more dangerous than street drugs, myself.
There is a lot of speculation right now as to how Heath died. I'm really not paying attention to it. I read that he was found naked, so honestly I don't think he intentionally killed himself.
Crystalina replied: You're right. The rumors will fly as usual. I know when I first heard it I thought he did it intentionally but now I really doubt it.
Anthony275 replied: this reminds me of anna nicole
Nina J replied: His family have flown to New York to bring his body back home
I hope the Australian paparazzi have the decency to stay away. They basically drove Heath out of Sydney..
Crystalina replied: Oh Please! Give me a freakin' break.
