He didn't get it....
MyLuvBugs wrote: I just want to cry right now. Dh found out today that he didn't get the job here at UNL. They actually closed the position b/c they ran out of money, so it's not like they hired someone better, but still....what else could go wrong? Why can't we get a break? Right now, we have all our eggs in one basket...that Tennessee job. And he said tonight that he doesn't think he's going to get it. I'm trying so hard to stay positive, but I just don't know how much more I can take....

kit_kats_mom replied: I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is when the breadwinner isn't working and you are pregnant. You have it doubly bad since you are near the end...at least I was in the first tri when my DH was unemployed.
It's tough on a family no matter what but if you go and add pregnancy hormones, stress about the kids etc....well, it has the possibility of becoming a real problem.
Try to focus on the positives for the time being...maybe he will be unemployed for the first few weeks of the new babies life and be a HUGE help to you. Try to keep your spirits up. Come here and complain, rant and cry to get it out of your system. Then be the supportive cheerleader that he needs. He doesn't need the added stress of knowing how worried you are. Fact is, he probably already knows and feels badly about it. Guys really take not having a job hard.
I'll keep sending "get the job vibes" your way.

Halo42101 replied: I am so sorry, Erika. I pray that a wonderful job turns up soon for your husband.
MyLuvBugs replied: Thanks so much ladies. Last night was just so bad. Right after I posted this, DH's dad called....that's always an experience. The FIL said that DH needs to just come out to Phoenix for a couple weeks and find a job there, and thought that next week would be the best time to start???? He's so stupid! I'm about to give birth!! WTH! I swear his dad hates me or something. Dh just told him "Ah No! Right now it's all about baby, and I'm not going anywhere unless I get a "real" job." UGH.
So, I ended up having a little mental break down right before we left for our last Lamaze class. This stress and pressure is just getting to me. With the birth getting so close, I'm starting to remember the PPD I had last time. I worry that with all this stress I'll have it so much worse this time around.
I'm trying to stay positive.....it's just getting really hard.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm so sorry sweetie! I'm sure your FIL doesn't hate you...he probably thought he was helping. Take a deep breath and just try and stay positive. I believe that everything finds a way to work itself out...you guys are in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry. That just sucks. I wish I had some words of wisdom, but I only have hugs and prayers. Hang in there, your DH will find the perfect job soon.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh Erika I'm so sorry. I've been there and I know the stress it can have on you while you're pg. It's so hard to stay positive when you keep getting knocked down.
I will pray he finds something soon. There must be an awesome job out there just waiting for him.
coasterqueen replied: I'm sure something will come very soon.
