Have you ever won anything?

I did win a cake topper at a bridal show, but I ended up not using it. That's the only thing I can think of that I have ever won...pretty sad, eh.

MM'sMama replied: Never although one time I won tickets to see Boys II Men. But other then that no and I didn't really want to see them to begin with . but they had Luther Vandrose (not right spelling sorry) performing after them and he was really good.

mammag replied: The only thing I've ever won was a pair of New Balance shoes. To be honest, I thought it was a hoax but when I got the email saying I had won all it said was that I had filled out an entry and all they needed was my shoe size. I figured it couldn't hurt to give it to them as long as I didn't have to give anything else so I did. Sure enough, a week later a pair were delivered to my door. I was pretty excited about it because it is the only time I've won.

DH did win a digital camera at a work party though.

I know the reason though so I'm not to bothered by it. You see, I will be winning several million one day and it just wouldn't be fair if I won a bunch of smaller prizes now would it?

In the last year I have won:$50 visa card, nascar tshirt, nascar greg biffle trading card, olympic pin, beanie oscar meyer weinermobile, healing gardens products, box of popcorn, philadelphia eagles ballcap, soft sided ice chest, 3 pks keebler cookies, 53 music downloads, gatorade sidelines bottle, went to meet kerry Earnhardt and won an autographed tshirt and 1:64 scale card. Years ago I won a radio/cd player in a drawing. Still looking for a big win in my online games. I am addicted to them! LOL

mom21kid2dogs replied: I've won a few things but Ed McMan has never showed up at my door yet with "the big one" ! I won a turkey in a school raffle, a Longaberger basket (EBayed it for $$), a really beautiful painted window with a snowman design. I collect snowmen so I have this hanging in my dining room year round. The biggest thing I ever won was a handcrafted nativity and creche worth about $350. It's an incredible piece of art!!

But if you're talking about drawings...When I was maybe twelve, I entered my name in something at the mall and won like a six week course at one of those teen modeling schools. They teach you etiquette stuff, how to put makeup on, walk on a runway. I enjoyed it, but I was stuck with a bunch of prissy girls who's parents could actually afford to send them, so I didn't quite fit in!

redchief replied: I won a basketball shooting contest sponsored by the Philadelphia 76ers. I was a scrawny, little 90lb. weakling and I beat guys 3x my size, much to their chagrine. It was a foul shooting contest and I just happened to be on that day.

My mIL is much luckier.. she wins all teh time on scratch tickets, $10,000 once:) And she just won some poker thing (worth liek $600) so she likes it:) I won a lot of stuff at craft fairs and such, (So has Kathleen) ( I put her name in the drawing last year and she won a bunch of maple syrup:) YUMMY !

DansMom replied: I've been very lucky. I am often the right caller to win things on the radio---CD's, tickets to concerts, etc. I have also won a lot of little amounts on lotto tickets (the most being $150).

I won first place in the Virginia Voss Memorial Award for Academic Writing for my senior thesis---this was a competition for women in the honors program at the University of Michigan. That wasn't luck though, that was hard work! And I got about $700 for it at a time when I was really struggling financially.
