Have you ever gone out in public
C&K*s Mommie wrote: in pajama bottoms, or even slippers?
I have gone to the convenience store in pajama bottoms before, or even to the drive thru of fast food joints.
It is quite the norm to see people at Walmart in their pj's or house slippers. The other day two girls had on the same pair of pj bottoms and were walking through a local mall together.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I have gone out in public in my pajama pants....and slippers too. My friend and I, back in my pre mommy days, worked at the same place on the same shift, and after work while, our boyfriends worked, we would go out in our matching pj pants and slippers....it was comfy after a long day on our feet!!
mummy2girls replied: yes i have and still do. if its too walmart i stick on my pj bottoms and go shopping! I do it when i pick Marcus up from work at times...
CantWait replied: Yup, I've lived in a couple small towns now, and it's the norm. No one thinks anything of it, although I hate to do it cause I feel like a bum.
TheOaf66 replied: yep
stella6979 replied: Nope, I usually just throw on some jeans.
cameragirl21 replied: nope, can't say i have...sweat pants and flip flops, yes, but not pj bottoms. then again, i don't wear pjs except for when it gets cold here and that's not very often....
mckayleesmom replied: After I had surgery yes......but otherwise no.
I have accidentally worn my slippers out once....
Boo&BugsMom replied: Can't say that I have, but I've been tempted many times.
3xsthefun replied: No, I haven't.
DillsMommy replied: I usually put on some jeans. But I always see people at walmart in pj.s. I too would feel like a bum, unless I had a really cute pair to wear and wanted to show them off.
grapfruit replied: The ONLY place is to the carry out 2 doors down!!
redchief replied: Yep... Was a long time ago. I seem to remember having to pick something up for one of the babes.
Crystalina replied: I have worn pj bottoms to drop Boo off at school (she hates it!) but at her school we just pull up in the front and the principal is there to greet the kids so I never have to get out of the truck. I've also worn them to drive-thrues.
I would never wear them to Wal-Mart only because it seems that if I go into our Wal-Mart it is guaranteed that I will run into an old high school boyfriend or someone that I have not seen for years! It happens all the time. I surely don't want to run into anyone looking like I just rolled out of bed. Not that I wouldn't want to wear them I just couldn't.
luvmykids replied: Since I usually sleep in yoga pant type leggings, yes. But I have to get dressed to feed the horses anyway so by the time I do other running around I'm already in jeans.
A&A'smommy replied: no I haven't but its pretty common for college students to, I know whenever I would go on campus with Jeremiah there was more than just a few walking around in them
Calimama replied: The only time was coming home from the hospital with Bella, and only because my DH wouldnt let me dig around in my suitcase for other clothes. I made him drive straight home and into the garage.
kit_kats_mom replied: Yes, once. I wore my pj's to the hospital when I had the girls. Other than that, No never.
luvbug00 replied: Oh everyday. taking mya to school and i"ve worn my footies out about too. i could care less. lol!
lisar replied: Many Many times. I just dont care what people think. My Motto is "if they dont like it, then dont look". So yes I have done it. More-or-so late at night though.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: No I wouldn't, but it is any worse than going out in sweaty, stained gym clothes, no makeup and ungroomed hair?
That is how I normally go out in public b/c I just go to the store after leaving the gym.
sparkys2boys replied: no I havent.. I might add yet to that though..lol.. you never know!
HuskerMom replied: Yes I have, only a few times though. Just cause my pj's are comfortable. Sometimes I'm just in the mood to be comfortable and don't care what other people think so my pj bottoms are perfect
TANNER'S MOM replied: Yes I have..but not to Wal Mart I have a theory that when you go out in sweats or PJ to run to Wal Mart to buy Tampons you will see either your High School sweetheart or you high school enemy... it never fails...lol
But I am more notorious for running out in boxers and cowboy boots!
punkeemunkee'smom replied:
Now that is a mental picture I won't forget soon!!! I don't do it to go to Walmart or the store but in the truck with Bill I will wear PJ bottoms which means to run in and go potty or get snacks etc I am in public in my Pjs...At my sister's wedding we had to run to walmart on the way and I was in my PJs and my sister and friend were in curlers...we just walked in like we were hot! I did not really care cuz I did not know anyone around! Plus it was my new PJs that Bill and Tay had gottne me for Christmas and they are so pretty I wasn't really embarassed!
gr33n3y3z replied: exactly wawa and the food store even to take a walk in I dont recall ever wearing those to the mall tho
luvmykids replied: I have a friend who was in boxers and cowboy boots when she drunkenly flipped over a fence and broke her arm....she had to go to the hospital like that
My3LilMonkeys replied: I used to all the time....when I was in HS my friend and I would wear PJ's to school all the time...
These days I rarely wear my PJ's around the house anymore...I found I feel better about myself if I get dressed and do my hair.
redplaydoh replied: Only once, and it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. I went to pick up my roommate at the time (Justin), he was a dear friend of mine and also gay. He and his boyfriend had a HUGE fight and he asked that I come get him, IMMEDIATELY. It was the middle of the night so I crawled out of bed wearing a skimpy nightie like a camisole/shorty combo somewhat see-through. I knew I wouldn't be getting out of the car so I didn't change clothes. Well this boyfriend of Justin's decided to call the cops after I picked him up and report that I had abducted Justin... so several police cars converged on my car, guns drawn and ordered everyone out of the car. I was mortified... Justin was beyond peeved... the cops were laughing... and the boyfriend got arrested for making a false police report. End of story, I'll NEVER go out without being dressed again.
JadensMama05 replied: All the time! Especially in the winter cuz sleep pants are so much more comfy for me than khakis or jeans (i seldom wear jeans other than to work). I dont really care what people think and I don't think it's sloppy in the least. I think people should be more worried about comfort as opposed to style. That's what gets crazy outfits on everyone! Crazy "in" outfits. As for running into someone from my past - I've always been this way so it shouldn't surprise anyone. Plus there is no one in my past that I would be embarrassed seeing under any circumstance, buying Depends for my Gramma or tampons for myself.. Don't matter to me!
kristy-n-chad replied: Not in actual PJ's, but I do go out in athletic leggings or sweatpants and a hoody type thing. Real clothes, but kinda bumm-ish, I suppose. Comfy.
holley79 replied: I use to always think it was weird how people went into public with their PJ bottoms on. While we were taveling this weekend that is what I wore. I didn't care what anyone thought.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I have before, but not a lot. I probably would a lot more if I had any decent looking pj's. Mine are all raggy and worn out and don't fit right.
