Has the time change messed anyone up?
luvmykids wrote: I've been waking up REALLY early, and being wide awake, today it was 4:52am The kids have been up early off and on too, the days they get up early they're already tired and grouchy by the time we're leaving for school
Calimama replied: Oh yeah! It gets light here at like 5am!!! GROSS!
boyohboyohboy replied: just the kids! they are up super early..andrew was just starting to get the hang of sleeping in, and now he is up at 230am and awake, and caleb is getting up for school at 5am. i hate the time change
Twelve Volt Man replied: We were out of town during the time change. When we got home, I changed all of the clocks back... except the ones in the bedroom. I got up with Sam at 5 AM, only to take him into the living room to find out it was 4 AM. By then, it was too late to try to get him to go back to sleep. So, yes, it has messed me up.
sparkys2boys replied: Yup, it has with all of us here too. Im up to early and the kids are up even earlier..lol!!
PrairieMom replied: We are finally starting to get changed over. It has taken all week tho.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: My kids have been getting up earlier, but if it weren't for them I think I'd have no trouble sleeping just as late as usual.
MommyToAshley replied: This change is good for Ashley... she is such a night owl. So, she actually gets to bed on time and sometimes wakes up on her own without me having to wake her for school. But, we have a hard time with the time change in the Spring because she will need to go to bed earlier... I hate that one.
wcs40110 replied: its got me, dh, and dakota waking up at odd times.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: YES! And I'm sooooooo tired as a result of it. The kids both got up at 4:30am this morning! Wil came into our bed even earlier than that, slept with me for a while, but then got up and out of our bed at 4:30am. Wesley heard him and woke up too. And because we're up so early, the day just snails by. I kept looking at the clock yesterday and when it felt like noon, it was only 9am!!! And then when it felt like 5pm, it was only 3pm. I hate it!!
moped replied: Yeah Jack is so scheduled that he was waking at 6 not 7 - sorry, but that is BRUTAL!
lisar replied: It hasnt really bothered me. I seem to be able to get up in the mornings without so much problem. And Lexi and Raygen want to go to bed earlier so thats fine also.
gr33n3y3z replied: I hate the time change I'm getting up at 5am and and going to bed early I act like the old people lol Oh wait I'am old
Katrinadoodle replied: Arizona doesn't change time.
Is it Daylight Savings Time or something?
luvmykids replied: LMBO, that is ME I am lucky to stay up until 9 these days...and then I'm up so early. I just told my mom I was turning into her
A&A'smommy replied: I'm SOOO messed up its not even funny!!!
Insanemomof3 replied: Yeah last weekend was the time change...Why doesn't Arizona change time? That is odd. LOL
ETA: I am not too messed up any more. I was at first though. I just HATE it getting dark at 5pm. Drives me nuts.
holley79 replied: It has Anniak messed up. She use to sleep till 7 so I could get ready for work. Now she's up at 6.
CantWait replied: I've been up and about around 10:00 which is odd for me. I don't mind it though. I get more done and I'm wide awake.
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad I'm not the only one
Katrinadoodle replied: I don't know why we don't... I don't really think we need the change, though LOL.
The sun rises at a around 6:40 AM and sets at around the same time PM in the winter Plenty of sun.
PrairieMom replied: yeah. They switched it, it happens a week later now. I am so PUMPED about that! I used to work every single day light savings time, on both fall and spring, and it is horrible working a night shift that has an entire extra hour! Now I get every single one off.
Anthony275 replied: ive been sleeping better and going to bed earlier now since the change, i woke up so early today at 5am and i didnt have to go to school until about 8:30. couldnt even fall back asleep...wide awake
DVFlyer replied: I hate the time change. I may move to AZ just so I don't have to go through it every year.
MoonMama replied: Yes! Braedin is now asleep by 7pm and up at 4am.
maestra replied: It's nice isn't it!!! No Daylight savings time here, except on certain Indian Reservations in the northern part of the state.
kimberley replied: yup, hate it!!! eating dinner at 5pm, ready to sleep by 9pm and waking up some ghoulish hour before 6am.
Nina J replied: It messed with me, I put all the clocks forward the night before without realising. I didn't realise until the next night. But I didn't change the clock in the car, so I thought it was 2pm when it was actually 3pm. I always watch the Melbourne Cup on tv, and I was out but I thought I'd make it home on time. Then all of a sudden the radio announced they were putting the horses in and the race would start and I was confused then I remembered I didn't put the clock forward.
So I listened, but it's not the same as watching. It was a good race this year too, Efficient came from no where and was the first horse to win the Darby and the Melbourne Cup since Phar Lap I was so annoyed I missed seeing it live.
gr33n3y3z replied: See its Saturday and day of rest and here Iam at stinking what ever time it is 7:25
kimberley replied: yup grrrrrrrrrrrr
MommyToAshley replied: If your clock in the care said 2pm, shouldn't have only been 1pm then?
Sorry you missed the races.
ZandersMama replied: my kids tink it was 2 hours i think they have been getting up around 7 instead of 830 or 9. Sucks when you are working until 1 or 2 am
Nina J replied: I'm in the Southern hemisphere, so our seasons are different. We put our clocks forward when you put yours back.
Cece00 replied: the first couple of days were wonky but now I've been getting the kids into bed a bit earlier so thats not a bad thing...i'm so tired @ the end of the day, i need the kiddos in bed so I can just lay around & relax.
i think they are getting up earlier, but i'm not sure. when the older 2 boys wake up in the morning, they watch TV until I get up (usually just about a 30 min difference) and get themselves dressed & make their beds...and since I'm still asleep, its not effecting me if they are up earlier.
MotherForever2043 replied: Yeah, for sure! Before, Esther would go to school practicaly in the dark! Amber is alright with it. The day when the time changed, I ALMOST forgot to change it. I would of woken an hour ealry and arrived and hour early for my metting. An hour makes a big difference in my house. We get so cranky
My2Beauties replied: Yeah I went to sleep before 9:30 last night I've been really tired too, it gets dark here before 6:00 pm, I hate that, I'm riding home from work and it's getting dark! That stinks
coasterqueen replied: I don't like the fact that it gets dark earlier. It's dark when I leave work, so I can't even do anything outside with the girls at night or any yard work.
It messed both girls up the first day. After that Megan adjusted just fine. Kylie, on the other hand, is for the most part falling asleep early (she's a night owl) and therefore wakes TOO early.
