Has anyone's DH - fallen asleep while with the child?

moped wrote: Just wondering if my husband is the only one who falls asleep sometimes, I just get so upset and don't know how to even react

kimberley replied: dry.gif this is a common thing around here too. which is why i don't often go anywhere. my ex was famous for it mad.gif . when i went back to school, i was there from 8:30am-noon and i would come home and find the boys filthy and hungry because he wouldn't get out of bed for them! growl.gif growl.gif

i didn't let up about it blahblah.gif and things got a bit better but not enough for me to feel comfortable going out for long periods of time. and the mess blink.gif oh the mess mad.gif

luvbug00 replied: My brother did it watching Mya once and She peed in her pants and was all wet and crying. He has not watched her since. It was his first and last time!! mad.gif

zdk753 replied: My husband does it all the time. I have no choice but to take my 3 kids everywhere w/ me. Needless to say I don't get out to much growl.gif.

boobies4virtue replied: yes. It is so irritating!

tammyhopkins replied: As long as Jack is trapped in his play area and everyhtin was OK. Don't worry about it. I have fallen asleep when Josh was running around once and when i woke up i was scared to death because i didn't even realize that i was tired when i did. It can happen to everyone as long as it is not an ongoing thing. Not everyone wants to admit that they have done this either. Men are sometimes not smart enough to not get caught is all.

MM'sMama replied: DH use to do that all the time after Brice had learned how to walk and it use to make me so MAD mad.gif. All he ever said "well sorry honey but I'm sleep deprived" dry.gif like I wasn't. But I agree as long as its not an on going thing and he's not in danger I wouldn't worry to much. But trust me I no how annoyed you are. hug.gif

moped replied:
So I shouldn't have torn a strip off him?

A&A'smommy replied: not that I know of but I think if he would have I would have been upset.. my mom has fallen asleep WITH alyssa and alyssa woke up before she did but there wasn't anything for her to get into or hurt on and she woke my mom up lol and I have fallen asleep too...luckily not for very long!

coasterqueen replied: Ryan would but only if they were asleep or falling asleep right along with them.

I have to admit that one morning Megan got me up WAY too early before work and both girls were in the living room. Kylie was watching cartoon and Megan and I were playing on the floor. I fell asleep for I guess about 10 minutes and realized what I had done. blush.gif Then again come to think of it, I did that with Kylie in the wee hours when she wouldn't go to sleep. I'd lay her on the living room floor with toys and gate off the living room and I fell asleep. blush.gif

So I'd say I've done it whereas Dh really hasn't. But he's not sleep-deprived like I am. tongue.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: only with her, I have a couple cute photos of them napping together, even I would sometimes nap while she was.

jacobsmama replied: My DH did it once and I came home and Jacob was running around naked and having a great time. I freaked out and needless to say he has never done it again and he said I was only sleep for like 5 mins. But by the look of my house must have been more like an hour!!! haha mad.gif

Sunflower04 replied: Only if it was nap time. smile.gif

NummyMommy replied: been there done that.... just to teach him a lesson I took the kids without waking him and snuck them to a neighbors house, came back leaving the front door open and woke him up.....needless to say he makes a pot of coffee whenever I go to meetings and leave him to watch them. Of course its happened to me too.... nursing a baby is waaaaay too relaxing. I guess as long as he understands how dangerous it can be... I wouldnt be too angry. If he wasn't contrite I'd think twice about leaving them with him.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I don't think DH has ever done it...but I am definitely guilty!
