I met one of the band members of, country singer, Travis Tritt at a gas station where I live. And last summer I met Dave Mirra, BMX bike rider. I am in LOVE with him, and he put his arm around me to take a picture. I was in heaven. Anyone else have any stories??
danahas4monkeys replied: me and my sil met Trick Pony and had pics taken, she had pics taken with all 3 I ended up somehow just getting mine with the lead singer Heidi! Going to see them again next month hoping to get a pic with all 3!

lesliesmom replied: YEARS ago, I met Huey Lewis and the News... they were (and still are) my favorite. It was great! I also was steps away from Tom Hanks one day (back in like 1990-91) when I was out in LA for a while.
kit_kats_mom replied: My roomate (and best friend since hs) dated Creed's roomate when they were just starting out, playing the little pubs in town. Scott, the drummer is a sweetheart...pure Southern gentleman through and through.
Shaquille O'Neil came to our store in the mall to order a car tag for his mom. Big Man! Very Big Man
I met some pro football player when I worked at a florist. He came in to pick up a bouquet because he was suprising his wife by coming in town. I think he was a Falcon.
I met Gavin McCloud who played the captian on the love boat when I was younger
Oh, and there is some dirt bike rider from Tallahassee Ricky Carmichael , who was a patient of my chiropractors. His appointments were right before mine so I saw him all the time.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I met Celine Dion... I was like 15 or so, we were front row center at one of her concerts here in Ottawa. I also met Roch Voisine, and a few hockey players. Oh and Marie-Soleil...
holley79 replied: I met Patrict Swayzey at an Arabian Horse show and saw George Strait at a team roping event in Beaumont.
Brias3 replied: I actually have alot of celebrity meeting stories- I've gotten a chance to meet quite a few "famous" people in my day. My husband works within the music industry and so we've had the opportunity to meet quite a few performers, him more often than myself obviously. I've also met...
Phil Jackson and quite a few of the Chicago Bulls (including Michael Jordan)- I lived in close proximity to a few when I was just out of college and often saw them around town or in restaurants every once and again)
Halle Berry-my aunt's best friend's son is a Broadway performer and a role in one of her movies and we ate lunch with her on the set one day)
Matthew Broderick- saw him walking his dog in Greenwich Village while we were visiting New York once and was able to say hello to him
Gwyneth Paltrow (and Apple too!)- my husband has worked with Coldplay; Ryan, Aliyah and I met them both at an event in London about a year and a half ago.
Bart Conner and Nadia Comenici (spelling I never get right)- they are Olympic gold medalist gymnasts and Bart is my parent's friend from high school. He's also my sister's godfather.
Finally, one of my husband's friends played in the NFL (including with the Superbowl Rams a couple of years back) and so I consider him "famous" and my cousin is currently in the NBA, so he's "famous" to me too
MyLuvBugs replied: We've met Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable guy. Really nice guys too by the way.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I've met a few.. David Kersch (90's country singer), Tim Rushlow (former lead singer of Little Texas) and Charlie Daniels (when I was 5 or so).
DH & his family have met several country singers - Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Mindy McCready, and a bunch more that I can't remember (this was when he was a kid/young teen). Little Texas was my MIL's favorite band - she has seen/met them so many times that they know her by name, which is how I got to meet Tim Rushlow. He and his new band did a concert at a local place and MIL just walked up to security and said "tell Tim that Marian B****** is here" and 5 minutes later he came walking out to see us!
My2Beauties replied: I've never "met" any per se but I have seen them. I saw Left Eye from the band TLC (she is now deceased, died in a car accident) one day at the mall with tons of bodyguards around her. A friend of mine saw Chris Rock eating at a diner one day when he was here in town for a comedy show. I've seen a few other famous people in person at different shows and events. The latest was the rapper Ludacris, he came to town for the Kentucky Derby and he was on a car in our Festiva Parade, he came very close to DH and I. BUt I've never like "talked or met" a celebrity!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I met George and Barbara Bush at a Broadway musical. They sat right behind us.
I also know the band members of Bowling for Soup. They are from my hometown.
siblingtooolivia replied: David Letterman at his studio in NYC in 1993...he is really cute, like little boy cute!!!
DillsMommy replied:
Hannasmommy, do you live in KY? I do, several of my friends met Ludacris also during the derby, they actually got to talk to him at the Galt House. I went back on the night of derby, but didn't see anyone famous.
Jackie012007 replied: Richard Gere is my Uncle's best friend... he, my aunt and uncle all went to high school together and he was the best man at their wedding, that is where I met him and he is a sexy old man
I also helped run cables on one of the stages at Woodstock 99 in Rome (my dad's friend got the bid to do the soundwork so I volunteered to help so I could go) so I met like a crapload of bands... I got to sit back stage and make sure nothing came undone so I was like within feet of tons of bands but I was like 16 so I was like uhhhhhh duuuuuuhhhhhhhh hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
MommyToAshley replied: Does Mickey Mouse at Disney count? Or Dora at Kings Island?
Guess I live a boring life compared to you all.
zdk753 replied: I've met quite a few most of them old time country stars since that is what my parents' are into. Porter Wagnor, Box Car Willie (he was one of the rudest people I have ever met. My brother asked him for his autograph after his show. He slapped him & said he didn't need to sign his name for a kid. We were 11 yrs. old at the time.), Trace Atkins (that man is TALL. Zachary told him he loved his pink & purple daisy song (Chrome) so at the concert that night he introduced that song as the pink & purple daisy song just for him), Aaron Tippin (he's got the best muscles I have ever felt), Scott Reeves, Mark Derwin, Brian White, (got to go drinking w/ the band members after the show... that was fun!), Davy Jones from the Monkees (he was the 2nd rudest person I have ever met. I had waited 20 something yrs to see him. I had the biggest crush on him. I finally got to meet him & asked for a pic w/ him. Other people had asked & he seemed fine w/ it. He sighs real loud & says "I guess if I have too." I figure it was b/c unlike the other girls I didn't have my business all hanging out.), there's more but I can't think of them right off hand now.
redchief replied: Being a high level municipal official in an upscale tourist destination just south of "The World's Playground," I meet rich and famous people often. Usually I'm unimpressed.
Halo42101 replied: Wow! That's cool how you met Patrick Swayze. You must have been in awe of him. I know I would have been. What a gorgeous man! Okay, so do the Patriots & their Cheer leaders count? I met them back when Scott Zolak was just starting on their team and got my pic. and autograph of him and the Cheer Leaders. It was in love with Scott after, let me tell you. I was sad when the Pats traded him.
luvmykids replied: Julia Roberts, she has a home in the town we used to live in and is very normal, they play at the community park and she does yoga in public classes, eats out, etc. They're actually very normal and very out-and-about-ish when they're there.
Woody Harrelson and Keifer Sutherland, at a bar when they were filming "The Cowboy Way" (Woody is a jerk btw)
Sam Elliot, Robert Duvall and who's the guy that was Magnum PI? I can't think of his name but they were all at a New Years Eve party for the grand opening of a resort our company worked on.
Taos, NM is a world famous ski resort and a lot of celebs visit there but those are the ones I've actually met.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Being in WI, I don't meet many famous people, but I am related to Patsy Cline...doesn't that count?
Brias3 replied: ITA with the "usually unimpressed" part!
ashtonsmama replied: I shook Katie Holmes' hand in LA at the War of the Worlds premiere...didn't even know back then that she'd be so famous now...poor girl! I've also met Selma Hayek and Ellen Pompeo...briefly, okay, but I MET them!
