Has FALL finally reached Texas???
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: We had a cold front blow in this afternoon. It is so nice outside and the air smells so fresh! I really hope we have seen the last of our hot days for awhile. I just love this time of year!! (and we actually had some leaves fall when the wind blew in) LOL!
5littleladies replied: Don't you just love fall!!! Ours is almost over-we have snow in the forecast for next week. Luckily I don't mind the cold or I'm sure I would be complaining and wanting to head your way.
MommyToAshley replied: I love Spring and Fall too. I love having the windows open and the fresh air blowing through the house!
I could do without Winter, except at Christmas. It just wouldn't seem like Christmas without lots of snow.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Hi Aimee!
What area of TX are you in? I lived in The Colony, TX (by plano, and lewisville) 20 mins from Dallas fo almost 12 years. I hated the extreme summers but loved the mild winters.
momma2jenna replied: Boy, wasn't it cool...........but too windy!!! MomofTay&Sam, I bet we shop at the same walmart! I'm at Rosemeade & Josie
MomofTay&Sam replied: momma2jenna you are very right! What a very small world!! My ex sis in law lives in Carrollton..sp. Do you know where the Old Prince of Peace church is? That where I taught for years.
A&A'smommy replied: i wish it would hurry up and cool off here its so HOTT!!! I love fall the leaves falling and all the colors changing its so pretty!
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Snow?? What is snow? I would LOVE to have snow on Christmas!!
Well, it looks like things will warm off again next week. (in the upper 70's) Blah!
MomofTay&Sam replied: Yes I am New Yorker now. I go back to TX alot during the year though.
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I'm so jealous. It sounds like you have the best of both worlds. DH and I have been to New York once and are dying to go back. We went to the city a few years ago and only got to stay a couple of nights (we stayed at The Plaza...it was awesome). Needless to say, we didn't get to see everything in just 2 days. We want to go back at Christmas time.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Christmas time is the best time to explore the city! The tree alone will make you stand in awe! I was just in the city a few weeks ago, no matter how often I go it's always new and exciting. I get that funny feeling in my tummy. I love watching GMA just knowing that we go to Times Square alot. Silly eh?
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I do the same thing! I always watch shows filmed in NYC and punch DH and say "LOOK! We've been there!!" It is a wonderful place. We were there in April...just a few months before the attacks and we just cried and cried over the towers. I have the best pictures of them and I feel so fortunate that we were able to see them before they were gone.
Anywho...we had a wonderful time. It was a bit overwhelming and I think if I had a month there, that still wouldn't be enough time.
