Hi, kinda, the main thread she started was about Dexatrim and happymom said she drinks a lot of fizzy drinks with aspertame in them and I informed her that aspertame isn't that great for the body and gives me major migrain headaches and slows down my weight loss so I thought I would post a little more info on it. I am not looking to start a debate on it but wanted to share my thoughts on it.

coasterqueen replied: DH explains aspertame to me that it's like fermaldahide (sp?). If soda with aspertame sits on a truck in the hot hot hot sun, then sits somewhere else in the hot hot sun it does something to the aspertame in soda and is NOT good for you at all.

Same with all the other sweetners like Splenda.

mummy2girls replied: Ive heard that aspatime(sp?) or any aretificial sweetners are not good if you have alot of it all the time. I read somewhere that it is linked to cancer... My grandma was a diabetic(insulin shots a day) and she could only drink diet sodas and such...she did this for 30 years because she was diagnosed at 50. She died at age 80 with brain cancer... Im not saying this is the reason for it but it could be a link. But personally I love diet pop and i drink it more than regular pops.
