I'll be sure not to post pictures of my horrible horrible flowered pants, bright yellow wool off the shoulder shirt and costume jewellery. Oh and the teased hair... oh the horror.

The kids stayed at my moms last night, so tonight we'll just do some movies and stuff. I'm looking forward to closing the door on 2007...rough year

My MIL is watching Ashley tonight... DH and I are going out with some friends to dinner and a club that has a live band we like. We haven't been out for New Year's (other than a friends' houses) since Ashley was born 5 years ago. We are getting a hotel room right next door to the club, so we don't have to worry about driving home late.

Brias3 replied: We're having my younger brother and sister over, Bruce's brother and his wife, plus a couple we are friends with and their 3-year old daughter. We're just gonna order some food in from a local Italian restaurant, have some drinks and hang out while the kids play. Everyone is going to stay the night here, so we're just going to relax and let everyone run wild

I'm SO looking forward to a night in! DH and I have been out for New Year's Eve every year since we've been married and quite frankly, I can't wait to just chill out and enjoy company at home this NYE!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We are going to a friend's house. They live close enough that we won't have to deal with too much traffic. Scotty doesn't drink, he's the designated driver.

We are taking the kids...their kids are the same ages as M & E. They have an au pair and there is plenty to do out there to keep them busy.

Our Lil' Family replied: Just dropped Thomas off with MIL for 2 nights! We're heading to PF Changs with friends and then who knows where else! I'm sure we won't get too crazy though, DH is currently submerged in his thesis!

We are doing something similiar - taking the kids to some friends who have two kids the same ages as ours. They aren't super close though, maybe an hour drive away. So we're staying the night. DH doesn't drink either, but like I said, won't matter because we're not leaving until tomorrow. Should be fun to just relax, play games and see friends!

We're just waiting for my mom to get here shortly...gotta go pack an overnight bag & get my booze together...not sure if we're getting fireworks but I know most other ppl will have them.
