Hair Dryers

DVFlyer wrote: Ok ladies.... I need a QUIET hair dryer. The one we have now is so noisy. When I'm getting ready in the morning I try to be quiet so Michelle and the babies won't wake up.

Got any suggestions?

Our Lil' Family replied: You use a hair dryer?? unsure.gif
lol

lisar replied: I am no help, I have a hair dryer but the only reason I use it is to dry the dogs after I give them a bath.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: You could try rolling down the windows on your way to work smile.gif

Sorry I have major frizzies if I dry my hair...so I dont.

luvmykids replied: I think "quiet blow dryer" is an oxymoron laugh.gif

DVFlyer replied:
When I have my hair longer, I need to blow dry it or it just doesn't work... smile.gif pthhh.gif

DVFlyer replied:
I've done that.... Nothing like that freshly wind blown look. wink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: there is one that is pretty quite but I cnt think of the name off hand.....you could go to the furthest part of the house from them and dry your hair......

DVFlyer replied:
I would normally agree, but last time I got my hair cut, the lady had a really quiet hair dryer, so I know one exists. smile.gif I don't remember the name though.

DVFlyer replied:
Our house isn't that big. smile.gif

Plus, I hear it's really bad for your hearing.

DVFlyer replied: These all say "quiet", but I don't think spending $80+ on a hair dryer is in the cards for me...... ever. wink.gif

DillsMommy replied: I didn't think there was such a thing. If you figure out...let me know. Mine is horribly loud and I need a new one anyways.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yeah, you would have to get salon quality and they are really expensive. Sally Beauty Supply would probably have one less expensive, though. Just go in and ask someone they are very helpful and have a great return policy.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: This is sortof an old post...but did you find one DV? I tried my friend's Chi (is that what they're called?) the other day and loved it! Quiet and did a really great job, light weight too.

DVFlyer replied: No, I haven't yet... Costco had one of those "ion" dryers for cheap, but we haven't been as happy as we usually are with Costco purchases.

What is a Chi?

MyLilAngel replied: CHI is a brand of hair dryers.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yes, Chi is the brand. They are expensive. I think over $100, but I do admit that I LOVED it. I typically buy my hairdryers at Target. I go for middle of the road. Definitely one with a low and high heat. I have had some more quiet than others. They tell you on the box, but I'm not always sure it's the truth. You can always try it out, save your receipt. The other option would be to get one of those towels that somehow take most of the water out of your hair. Don't know the name, but they remind me of a shammy that you would use on a car. :lol:That of course would be the least noisy! wink.gif

DVFlyer replied: Shamwow??? On my hair?? blink.gif

Next thing you know, I'll be on the infomercial with that freaky spokesman. biggrin.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I said that's what they REMIND me of! LOL! Here they are....hair towel

DVFlyer replied: I know... I was kidding. smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Lol... Zach asked if he could get a shamwow for christmas when we were at walmart the other day.. I didn't know WHAT he was talking about, I thought he was trying to say "Chamois"... which is pronounced the same as Shamwow, except with an Ah sound instead of the Ow sound... and chamois is expensiiiiive... i said no way..
