Had to take Logan to Urgent Care
MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: Aaron had Logan this morning. He picked him up at 9:30 and it's so pretty today that he took him to the park. Well, I didn't expect them home until 2:30 or so, so it really surprised me when I heard the garage door open at noon. I went to the door and opened it up to see Aaron getting a crying Logan out of the car. Logan was holding his arm kind of weird and asked me for medicine. I gave him some tylenol and Aaron told me that he'd been playing at the park and took a misstep, fell off a 3 foot platform and rolled down the stairs. Aaron wasn't sure if he fell directly on the elbow or tried to catch himself, but he was not feeling well and we decided to take him to the Urgent Care center. The doctor pressed and prodded and Logan was very non-specific about where it really hurt, so he ordered x-rays. No bones broken, but with the pain he was in when they manipulated his arm for the x-rays, the doc suspects a pretty bad sprain. He's still guarding it. Won't use it to lift a cup to his mouth, cried when he tried to climb on the couch. We have a sling (smallest size they had and it's still way too big) and are going to give him Motrin every 6 hours or so. He won't wear the sling, so I guess we'll have to hope the pain keeps him from overworking it. Bummer of a way to spend the day with Daddy, but at least Aaron came with us to the urgent care and he was so apologetic. Like it couldn't have happened with me there. Please, he's a boy, he's going to get hurt. I know that and I don't blame Aaron at all. but it was nice to have him there.
Calimama replied: Aww, poor Logan. I'm glad it's not broken. I hope the pain eases up for him.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh wow, I'm so glad nothing is broken. Glad you guys took him in and glad it's good news. Lots of get well vibes for sweet Logan.
lovemy2 replied: When it rains it pours huh? Glad Logan is ok and that Aaron was there with you

amynicole21 replied: Oh man, poor kiddo. I hope it heals up quickly.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Sorry, I guess I should have been more specific in the post title. I was holding my breath in the office, so I should have anticipated that you guys would as well. I really didn't suspect a break, but little ones can be so hard to diagnose sometimes.
luvmykids replied: I'm so glad it wasn't worse, poor little guy I'm glad Aron was there with you guys
A&A'smommy replied: Ohhh poor Logan!!!!! I'm glad Aron went with you guys

MoonMama replied: Poor sweet pea. I hope he heals quick. To all of you.
grapfruit replied: Oh poor kid! I feel off a horse years ago and sprained my arm really bad. It also tore some blood vessels and stretched tendons and stuff. The doctor said it would of hurt less if I'd of broken it. So poor Logan is probably in some pain.
Since he won't wear the sling have you thought about maybe taking an ace bandage and "making" one to fit him better?? You could even kind of wrap it to his side a bit if you wanted.
Lots of and healing vibes coming your way!!!
