Had to share. - Look what I did!
PrairieMom wrote: I have been ribbon working again. I made these the other night. I have snails and butterflies too, so my craft table looks like someone has left the screen door open. So my MIL is going to sell these at a craft sale in a few weeks. What would you guys be willing to shell out for something like this? I have no idea how to price stuff.
coasterqueen replied: Those are adorable. But price? I'd have no clue. If the kids don't need it, I try not to buy it.
Crystalina replied: How big are they? If I had a baby with a bit more hair ( )I would pay a couple bucks for one at least. I'm not really sure. I wasn't into the whole "handmade" thing before so with Izabella everything came from retail outlets.
Crystalina replied: I love the first one with the eyes!!!!
PrairieMom replied: I need to get some smaller eyes. But I agree, they add a lot. They are on a 1 3/4 inch clip, so they are to big for an infant, but about the right size for 12 mos to toddler I would think.
Crystalina replied: Well I think they are GREAT! Have you ever thought of making the lady bug in different colors? Like not ladybug colors? Kind of like you did with the first one. What is it? A little catapillar or snail?
moped replied: CUTE! I would say I would pay about $8, now if i HAD to have them I wouldn't care what they cost, I would buy them
How much?
PrairieMom replied: $8? DAAAANG lady... perhaps your economy is better than ours. I was thinking more like $4. I don't know if I would personally pay that much for them tho.
I haven't made different colors of lady bug yet, but I could, I have a bunch of different colored snails too, I should take a picture of my entire bug army, its pretty comical. Right now I have a bunch of disembodied dragon flies laying around, I plan on getting more done this afternoon.
CantWait replied: Omgosh Tara, I don't know about price, maybe $4 each, but those are CUTE. I want to see the rest of them.
Crystalina replied: Eww! Disembodied?
Just go for $4 and see what happens. I've been digging around about pricing and I'm finding out that the more expensive stuff actually sells faster then the cheaper stuff. People assume it's a better product or something. I'm not sure.
Could be why I've only made 2 sales.
moped replied: Oh yeah easily I would pay that............if you can make MUCH smaller ones I would buy them in a heartbeat.....Laila has hardly any hair, but enough to sneak in a bow
my2monkeyboys replied: I'd start them out at $5-6, see what happens. If they aren't moving, knock them down a dollar at a time. Those are SO cute!!!
