Had to go to the ER
Nina J wrote: I spent a few hours in the ER, Emily stuck a pea in her ear. She wouldn't eat her dinner, so I said if she just ate her pea's she could leave the table. So she started sticking them up her nose and blowing them out, I told her to stop and continued eating my dinner. About 20 seconds later she started screaming because she shoved one in her ear. I couldn't get it out and she was screaming and crying, so we went to the ER. They had to gently scrape it out and flush her ear a few times, it took forever because she wouldn't sit still.
I was so embarrassed, I bet you would be to if your child told the doctor "Mama put it in my ear".
Brias3 replied: Oh no! Sorry you had to go through an ER visit....those are never fun! Hopefully Miss Pea Hider is feeling ok too
luvmykids replied: Sorry, I can't help but laugh at that one!
Glad they got it taken care of. If it makes you feel any better, I once called the pediatrician on call on a holiday weekend because Colt stuck a saltine cracker (I thought) up his nose.....The doc was a little annoyed as he explained it would dissolve shortly I never did tell the doctor it was just a giant booger.
Nina J replied: OMG, I nearly wet myself...
C&K*s Mommie replied: Glad they got it out.
ZandersMama replied: oh my goodness, so happy it all turned out well. when i was about 3, i rolled up small balls of tinfoil and put them in my noise, it took awhile in the er before i finally just sneezed and they came out.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Kids!! Why do they do such things!? Sorry you were in the ER for such a long time....over a tiny pea.... it's just a little funny though
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad everything turned out ok now You stop putting peas in her ear lol
BAC'sMom replied: Sorry to hear that but I am glad you got it taken care of. Dang Mom what is next corn on the cob.
holley79 replied: My cousin was famous for sticking rocks up his nose and not telling anyone why he was crying. Sorry you have to endure that. I'm sure my time is coming.
MommyToAshley replied: LOL! What a little stinker. LOL!
Sorry you had to go to the ER, but this will be a story you will be telling for a long time! My little brother stuck a green bean way up in his nose and had to go to the doc... he's 21 now and still hears about that story!
ediep replied: OMG! Thats crazy!! Sorry you had to sit in the ER, but I am glad they got it out!
Kaitlin'smom replied: eewwww, dont think I will be eating peas any time soon. Glad they got it out. Little stinker for blaming you.
TheOaf66 replied: you would be surprised at the amount of ER visits they get for things like that, don't feel embarrassed, it happens.
ashtonsmama replied:
Kinda funny now though.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Couldn't help but laugh. I can't believe she told them you did it ... surely they knew she made that up ... or did she !
Glad everything turned out ok!
My brother wanted to be frankenstein when he was younger and put q-tips in his ears < like the screws I guess that frankenstein has, and punchered< SP) his ear drum, then when they went to the ER told the doctor < with the q-tips loged<SP) in his ear, he never played with them ... hahahah
msoulz replied: My dad still talks about his $600 peanut.
I was probably 4 and my mom usually sorted out the peanuts from my Cracker Jacks, but for regrettable reasons she did not. I have no idea why (my brother said he told me to do this, that would not surprise me) I stuffed a peanut up my nose and had to have it extracted at the hospital. The only thing I remember is being restrained to a board. Apparently they had to knock me out to get the darn thing out and it cost my dad $600! And my mom never again failed to sort the peanuts out of the Cracker Jacks!!
lisar replied: That is so funny. I hear stories all the time about how my Mom stuck a pea up her nose when she was little and they couldnt get it out so she had to go to the er to get it out. Thats to funny though.
