HOLY LORD!!!! - Court Update/Vent

First off, remember we had the GAL appointed???? Well we found out today, WE (Andrew & I) are going to have to pay for it. Now we aren't the ones who did ANYTHING wrong, but yet we are the ones that have to pay for an attorney for Michael. Someone please tell me that is not screwy????


Second - Grovdhal simply said - She is an unfit mom and can't see him unsuperivised. And gave no reason for that. So THAT is why we are having to deal with the GAL


NOW the good news - The grandparents haven't actually filed for custody yet. Thier attorney knows (and has explained to them) that it will be an uphill battle that they will loose in the end.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Wow, I was under the impression that here, the Guardians ad Litem are paid for by the system. We have a group called CASA that is over all the GALs. That seems a bit screwy.

mom2my2cuties replied: Well, this GAL was already paid by the system on this case once before. I don't know, we just had to fill out some financial paperwork to determine who will pay for it.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Well, Tish. I hope it goes in your favor. You shouldn't have to pay a GAL in addition to your attorney.

#1 why should you have to pay I mean there is so much stuff against the other woman and your X you should be able to just get your son back and be done with it.

Perhaps you can sue for the money in civil court once you are done (sue your ex)?

There is actually a very large lawsuit in the works against my ex husband, his parents, Comissioner Grovdhal, Spokane Police Dept (re - Detective Andy Anderson), Wylie TX Police Dept, CPS in Plano TX and CPS Spokane WA.

redplaydoh replied: I don't know the story here, but it sounds frustrating to say the least. I just wanted to add that I used to live in Plano, TX and worked at the dinky little hospital (on-call) in Wylie!!

mom2my2cuties replied: Next court date is Dec 8. So I am going to be spending thanksgiving without my guy (husband) this year We also found out that because I am a SAHM and have no income of my own, that I wont be required to pay for the GAL. They don't count Andrew's income, because he is only the step dad and has no legal ties.
