Oh and my little cousin named her dog Princess Fiona. It's REALLY ugly.

P.S. I like Alexandria better than Alexandra too, but we live in VA and have a major city right outside of DC named Alexandria..so it's kind of weird for me to think about naming my daughter after a city close by!

mckayleesmom replied: Nicole....I watched this show about a little girl with that disease Progeria.....the old peoples disease. ..It was about a year ago and the people were from England. Their little girls name was Fluer......kind of pronounced Felora......I really thought that was pretty.

Just a suggestion. I feel bad that most people don't like your name. You shouldn't pay any attention to us though because WE would not name our children Fiona, but that doesn't mean your little girl won't look like a pretty little Fiona. We are also a small percent of people.

Although other peoples' opinions never stopped me from doing what I want to do. Do you know how many times I've heard "you can't go with a first name that ends in a letter that starts in their last name, it sounds horrible", i.e. Megan Nicole Nation (3 n's), Kylie Elizabeth (2 e's). Dh and I don't see how it sounds funny at all and didn't care what others think in the end.

So go with your heart on this one AND maybe you just won't be able to decide until you see that baby girl's face .

After sleeping on it, I can't shake the Shrek factor either! LOL heaven forbid she would ever go through an akward stage and not be overly cute(can't IMAGINE that would ever happe..lol lol lol...but..) she may get picked on for being an Ogre!

Anyhooooo...It's Alexandra Miabella. There are just a million and one options with that name as well....Allie, Alex,Xandra,Lexi and I've said over and over that I plan to call her MiaBella(not sure if I will or not..but we'll see) so that opens the door for Mia or Bella as nicknames as well. She will have all kinds of alter egos..lol!!

and Bri..don't feel bad at all! I wanted opinions and that's what I got..and ultimately the majority vote here agrees with my decision this morning too!!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well I'm way late on this...but I have to say I like both! I love original names, so Fiona is super cute IMO. I don't think of Shrek at all, but we don't own the movie. I actually think of Fiona Apple, the cool rock chick from the 90's.
