A&A'smommy wrote: OKay one of the FEW things alyssa ACTUALLY wants for christmas is a purple teddy bear with yellow spots I have NO idea where this idea came from last year she just wanted a purple bear I bought her one and she said that it wasn't purple it was blue (it kinda almost was but it was the only one i could find)
SOOO anyway I have looked EVERYWHERE I can think of for a purple bear and I thought well I will either just give her that or figure out some way to put "yellow spots" on it I keep saying well santa clause may not be able to find one well um yeah she wont buy it does anyone have any ideas???
Anthony275 replied: bleaching/dyeing it? try one of those bleach pens or something
HuskerMom replied: Doesn't walmart have a bear that kids can color on and then it washes off and they can color it again? Maybe something like that so she can color it purple with yellow spots or any other color? That's the only thing I can think of.
momofone replied: maybe glue on yellow felt spots or maybe take her to a toy store and say I don't see any purple bears with yellow spots do you see anything else you would like to pick out for xmas?
PrairieMom replied: how are you at sewing? :unsure https://www.picotextiles.com/fabrics/cleara...magic_dots_595/

Calimama replied: Closest thing I could find was the purple care bear with a yellow spot on his tummy. There's a couple different ones if you go through all 3 pages.

Crystalina replied: Finding the purple bear would be the hardest. You can get yellow fabric paint and add the yellow spots.
Brias3 replied: I'd say the fabric paint would be your best bet on a purple bear.
Here are a few:
Purple Bear #1 Purple Bear #2 Purple Bear #3
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Sorry. That's just too funny. GL hun.
A&A'smommy replied: i'm glad you find it funny!!! I really do too.. Jeremiah suggested sewing yellow buttons but umm I would rather do the fabric paint.. this is going to be fun!!
DillsMommy replied: The things we do for our kids..... Good luck!
DillsMommy replied: I just typed in "purple teddy bear" on ebay and got about 50 matches or maybe you could try build-a-bear....
lovemy2 replied: Oh My - a Purple Elephant with Yellow Spots - try the Island of Misfit Toys for that one
Seriously - that is a TALL order -
Last year all Olivia wanted was TOOLS At least that was easy
CantWait replied: WOW, I don't know where she would have even got that one from. Is it something she's seen and actually exists?
I'd take her to the toy store for sure, and maybe she could give you some better ideas.
Good Luck
Kaitlin'smom replied: I am pretty sure I have seen something like that someplace just for the life of me cant remember
jcc64 replied: Is there any way to ascertain where she got the idea from? Did she see it somewhere? The reason I ask is- she may have a particular version in mind, and if you customize one for her, as fun as that may be, it might not be THE one she's talking about, kwim? Can you make up some bs story that Santa has a gazillion teddy bears, and he needs more specific info so he can find it in his workshop?
MoonMama replied: What about getting a purple bear and adding yellow felt spots to it. A few years ago a family friend had boy/girl twins, and she wanted a pink bear with blue strips or blue bear with pink strips. Anyway we couldn't find one for the life of us so I added them. It worked out very nicely, she was thrilled and its held up 4 yrs later. I used a thin velvety type stuff but I think felt would work to I've used it for other stuff.
MommyToAshley replied: What about buying a purple teddy bear and then doing pajamas or something with yellow spots. I bet Build A Bear would have clothes you could find with yellow spots. However, I agree with Jeanne, I'd try to see if she can lead you in the direction of the specific bear she is talking about.
I'm lucky... the only think Ashley has asked for is the High School Musical sound track for her karaoke machines.
kit_kats_mom replied: I feel your pain dear. Katherine wants a stuffed yellow owl she's not getting it.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I would think that fabric paint would peel off before too long. Sewing on some yellow felt spots sounds like the best idea to me - it just seems like it would last longer. Good luck!
ETA I found this purple bear- it looks like a good texture for sewing something onto it. Purple Bear
A&A'smommy replied: WELLL I started thinking yesterday after talking on the phone for 3 hours yesterday to my best friend and I THINK she played a game either on nickjr or her preschool game she decorated a teddy bear.. but I'm not sure which one.. anyway my bf said that she wanted to do it.. i told her it was suppose to be from Santa clause and she INSISTED that she wanted to do it and she doesn't care that its suppose to be from Santa clause (so in other words she wants to play Santa clause too hehe ) so i told her to go for it cause she is MUCH more artistic than I am she said that she is going to look for a purple bear if she can't find one she is going to dye a white one purple and then sew on yellow spots and use really big stitching i told her to have fun
redchief replied: I didn't find anything on different on the bear, but
I found a yellow owl, Cary!
