HE DID IT! - took only two nights!

I tried the Nanny 911 ignoring bit, I held him down in his bed (not hard, but I just kept putting him back in), I layed down in bed with him...but nothing worked! So just when I was in tears myself and about to throw in the towel and put him in his crib, I finally just left him alone and let him CIO (no one get mad)...but he only cried for maybe two minutes at the door and then he got HIMSELF back in the bed and went fast asleep! I was so shocked! And he slept through the whole night and waddled into our bedroom at 7am with a big well-slept grin on his face!!! So last night, it was DH's turn to try and I warned him it would probably take another hour...but DH comes out only 10 minutes later and says Wil didn't cry at all. Just got in, turned over and went to bed like he does in his crib! I even went in to kiss him while he was still awake and he didn't move! And again, he slept the whole night through!!

OMG I'm so happy! Thanks for the tips everyone....I so thought this was going to take a lot longer! Now we have to figure out how to get him to stay there for nap time...because we haven't got that one down yet.
