Guess what I'm doing?
PrairieMom wrote: Contracting. Ugh. I do all the time. I have these darn Braxton hicks, and had them with the other 2 too. Had to be on terbutaline with both, and I am sure I will be on it again. Today has been really bad. I have had to many to count since noon. I suppose I really should call the Dr, but I have an appt to see him thursday AM anyway, so it seems pointless. I have planted my butt on the couch and been drinking water like a fish, and it doesn't seem to help. If I'm moving I have them every 3-5 minutes. There is a strong possibility that DH will drag me in to see someone tonight. My uterus needs to calm the heck down. The last time I saw my DR I mentioned to him that I was having a lot of BH and he kind of blew me off, but not this time. The next time I see him, I am going to make him check me to make sure nothing is going on down there. Kids. What 'cha gonna do with em?
ZandersMama replied: honestly, i know it sucks, but i would go see someone tonite. im very parinoid with that stuff though.
PrairieMom replied: yeah, they are holding steady at about 5 min apart, sometimes a bit longer. I am waiting for the on call Dr to call me back. We shall see what happens.
amymom replied: Tara, you know better than I what to do. So no advice here. But I am praying for you and that little guy. He needs more time so take care of yourself!
PrairieMom replied: Alright, so I am off to get checked.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I hope it's just BH! Kup
mckayleesmom replied: keep us updated
PrairieMom replied: Well, after 3 hours of sitting on OB triage on THE HARDEST COT EVER, I got a shot of terbutaline and sent on my merry way. the good news is that my cervix is still clamped tight shut. I My Dr, who apparently is deficient in recognizing patterns sent me home with no meds, So I will continue to have contractions I'm sure, and will definitely be addressing this with him on Thursday. Until then, Its keep it easy, drink, and pee.
MommyToAshley replied: I'm sorry about the BH, it sounds awful, but glad to hear that you're cervix is not doing anything. I am glad you went to get checked too, I would have been worried about you. I wouldn't want to be your doc on Thursday, lol.
PrairieMom replied: Well, I mean, Come ON! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out. My old Dr would have done stuff differently, but this guy doesn't know me, and is apparently to busy to fully digest my history.
I have already had 2 full glasses of water in the past 2 hours, and 3 contractions. My poor tummy feels like I was doing crunches all night last night.
coasterqueen replied: Some docs are just like that. I had contractions for 2 months before Megan was born. I kept telling my doc I was having them and she thought I was full of BS. Days before Megan was born I had them really bad, she kept telling me this baby won't be coming until at least my due date and she thought it would actually be past that. The darn doc didn't believe I was in labor when I went in a month early - even when I was admitted to the hospital.
Take it easy.
kimberley replied: bop the doc on the head thursday... maybe he'll take the hint. sorry the cx are not subsiding. take it easy!
