Grocery shopping today... - I hate it.

CantWait replied: I'm so with you there. I usually go grocery shopping with a friend so at the very least we can grip to eachother about all the idiots out and about. It takes a good 6 hours most days to go to Walmart and then one or two other places before we have everything that we need. That usually consists of a meal out too since we're gone through at least lunch or dinner.

six_kids_at_28 replied: I just always go at evening and make sure that I either have no kids on me or if it is before there bedtime, I only take 1 or 2. They know how to behave in a grocery store, and I love to shop

Grocery shopping in one time for me and DH to spend time together. Our kids know to behave when we're shopping... Dh and I each take a basket, he ahs both kidsin his, and I pack in the food in mine.

We usually do one big grocery a month, and it's usually a pretty darn full basket, for usually under 150$. I've gone over 150$ 3 times in the last 6 months... and it was only by a few dollars. Then we go weekly for bread, milk or things that go really quickly like that.... we usually spend under 200$ a month on food. We take our time... and get the kids involved too with picking types of stuff, recognizing numbers etc...

PrairieMom replied: We do the walmart thing too. I always go on Tuesday Morning, at 10. It is before all the crazies come out. Any later than that and its a disaster. I hate walmart day. The only good thing about it is we treat our selves to McDonalds on the way home!. Mmmm double cheesburger and fries!

party-of-six replied: I go to wally world on weekday mornings. That way I avoid the stupid people on the weekends or in the evenings.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: It doesn't bother me too bad. I go every Saturday and as long as I hit all the stores by 12:00 it isn't bad, but after 12:00 I can get really irritated!!!

Insanemomof3 replied: Well, I lived through it. LOL The kids behaved VERY well, and the only people out were older people that Tristan kept calling Gramma and Grampa LOL. I went this morning at like 9 am. It went very well.
